Highly impressed at the results of these races! This is exactly one of the reasons why I never opted to push my car with a performance tune.

that was intriguing. and I didn't know the stinger is about 400 pounds lighter, that has to be a factor.

please explain 'exactly one of the reasons why I never opted to push my car with a performance tune.'

Yea im confused yoo. Why wouldnt you want performance mods

Lmao 2nd race was me driving 1st race must have been bad launch for the stinger

Driver skill has a lot to do with this. I assume the SRT being RWD had problems on a standing start, it pulled much better on a rolling start.

Guessing what the OP means, based on them posting this video and the Stinger holding its own in the races, is that a stock Stinger is quick enough for some.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Yeah, but who doesn't mod their SRT?

I did not originally reply to the question of why I mentioned that “I’m glad that I didn’t mod my car” because I did not want to start an unnecessary back and forth debate.

To answer the question though, the reason why is because it is my belief that doing so would add excessive wear on my car’s engine and systems, ultimately shortening the car’s lifespan.

I do plan to add the MBRP exhaust kit for the Stinger (and other planned bolt-ons), but I will not be messing around with my car’s ECU. I have no criticism for owner’s that decide to use products like this, but I will not be adding them myself. There are plenty of articles from real mechanics to be found online, as to why.

Taking a look at how that Stinger kept up with (and beat) the Mopar- assures me that my car is quite fast enough. SamCarLegion only uses stock cars for their videos. If a car has been modded, it will be in the description.

interesting. thanks for answering my question. I figured you were saying that your stinger drivetrain is stock. I agree that the 3.3l is more than enough car to go up against most other performance cars. I don't know if it is the equal or superior of 'ninety percent of what's out there' as I've seen claimed on the forum, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Sounds like something I would post. Since most vehicles sold and on the road in America are econoboxes or soccer mom SUVs, 90 percent is probably conservative.

Even as EVs start infiltrating the car landscape in the coming years, most are still going to be 5+ seconds 0-60. Especially as range is prioritized. The until recent EV models have had more than traditional number of models sold that were quick, mostly because they were premium models with a premium price tag. That won't be the norm. Normal is boring, they'll make sure of that. lol

The stock tune is perfection. The low and mid range on the Stinger is good l.

Im not knockin the logic.
The feature that kills boost for the last 600 or so rpm before a shift sucks
And the unchangable low rpm launch control is kinda lame
But no doubt someone put some time into the tune at Kia / Hyundai

You mean adding oil catch can? :) You cannot do much to NA 392. It needs hefty overhaul to make more power. Easiest is supercharger, but 392 has too high compression to run it daily with piece of mind...
I had one, then somebody tried to steal it, then other 392 car on my employers parking lot got stolen, and now I drive Stinger :)

I bet long tube headers a good x pipe and some high flow cats.... plus a balance tune would add 50+hp

Half that. 392 gains the most just with good tires. OEM all season (Pirelli PZero Nero) are crap.

I will not fight you on this hill but tell that to the camero ss with exactly these mods that blew my doors off
(For context i stomp stock ss's)
This guy was walkin away !!!

Camaro might have more restrictive exhaust. I have ZL1 and I can confirm that headers makes a difference.

But also, I am not an expert. I just never heard about easy mods for 392, to the point where I would ask "who doesn't mod 392?" :)
