Hi everyone, I just bought a 2020 Stinger GT2. Love the car so far, but I noticed that I am having some issues with the front lights. The yellow blinker light on the left side doesn’t come on unless I use the blinkers. The right side is just fine. Also, the fog lights (lower right light is flickering in and out and doesn’t turn yellow when flashing my signal but the left one works fine. My questions are what are the proper terms for these lights incase I have to buy new ones? Will the limited warranty I still have left cover the cost of light problems?CCBD36DF-726A-44E8-ABCF-204C2A7A9C4F_1_105_c.jpeg

Those fog lights are not stock. They are probably CK71’s.
Hmm, nice to know! That kinda sucks, wouldn’t imagine those going out so quickly. Could it be a light fuse or wiring issue? Don’t want to have to buy a new pair already.

I don’t own them. I heard they are well built so it’s probably a wiring problem and could be related to your blinker problem as well.

Okay, thank you for the input. I will go to the dealership soon and see what they can do!

I'll be surprised if the dealer even messes with them since they aren't a stock piece.

Interesting. Here is my best guess:

By your description it sounds like the fog lights are wired into the turn signals. They’re “normal” operation is a white LED and they then flash yellow when the respective turn signal is used.

I believe the turn signals built into the head lights only illuminate when the turn signals are used. Since your right signal is on and the fog light isn’t illuminating white light, I have a feeling the wiring is wrong or grounded out causing the headlight turn signal to be illuminated and the fog light to not produce any white light.

I would check the wiring to the right side fog light and look for any bare copper. Or, remove the fog light wiring completely to see if the turn signal built into the headlight works properly. Good luck

Thank you for the response. This definitely seems to make sense and in all honesty until I just read what you said then watched a video I had no idea that the turn signal light shouldn’t be on unless you are using your turn signal. I definitely feel dumb for not realizing that. I am no good at all with any type of electrical wiring so I will just take the car to my trusted mechanic instead of the dealership as he will give me a fair price and I’ll be able to explain what the issue is!

Here is the install video (if you haven't already found it), I would just check the wiring. If that doesn't work, try and contact them and see what they have to say.

Don’t feel dumb, we all start somewhere!

Lol. When my car was a few days old with me, I had returned to the dealership to ask questions, and one of them was (pointing to the promo book cover), "Why are my daytime lights not both on like it shows here in this picture?" I had three salesmen around me and nobody said anything, but one got in the showroom Stinger and flipped the turn signal stalk and just looked at me. :D (I had not seen a reflection of my car yet with the turn signals going, hah.)

Could be a loose connection if they are really CK71

Could you grab a closeup photo of them? Can verify that way

IF they are the real ones, it's worth reaching out to him to see if he can assist, may need a new LED Controller to resolve it which is like $30 if its not in warranty

thank you everyone for the reply’s! I was able to tell my mechanic to take off the front bumper and it ended up being that the previous owner did a bad job wiring the lights and 3 wires were messed up. All fixed now. These CK71s look great!

Nice!

Heads up, in the photo you posted it also looks like you're just straight up missing a piece of the lower trim on the bumper. a small black bar that goes in between where your cars color ridges out. hard to tell for sure though because the picture is not that high quality.

^^^I see the "splitter" in the OP pic.
