Hey there, I recently bought Stinger GT 3.3 AWD 11/2018 that had 150,000 miles (240,000km) clocked from Germany. Car seems to be meticulously maintained, interior is mint and it runs amazing. Drove it about 1,500 miles to my home country, no issues, completely fell in love with it. Oil has been changed every 10,000 km (~6,000 miles). Now that I'm back home, I intend to do a full service including:
- all fluids - engine, transmission, differential oils, coolant and brake fluid
- all filters - oil, air filters, cabin
- spark plugs

Should I worry about the timing chain? Is there anything else I should pay extra attention? Also, there is the possibility that the car has remap or chip tunning - I notice that the auto start/stop at least is disabled. The car is crazy fast but I have no basis for comparison, so how could I find out if it's tunned? I bought it from a leasing company and they refused to give me the contact of the previous owner. Which is sad as it seems the guy cared.

If you have any questions related to the high miles, I'd be glad to answer :)

timing chains are supposed to be lifetime parts
no reason to worry about it unless you are aware of something specific that happened
150k is nothing for a modern car that hasn't been abused

Congrats!! The Stinger is an amazing car (especially for the $). Wow! That is a lot of miles (Km). Sound like the previous owner maintained it well. Even with that feeling, it is a good idea, with that high of miles, to perform all the services you mentioned. As for the auto start/stop being disabled. There are really only a few options.
1. Many have witnessed that feature not operating due to a weak battery. If the battery is weak, the auto start/stop feature will not activate due to the risk of draining the remaining energy from the battery during a stop.
2. I believe there is an aftermarket "gizmo" that can be purchased to disable that feature. Can't remember what it is or where to find it.
3. An actual ECU tune offers the disable of that feature if purchased. Such as LAP3 and Lozic. It would be very difficult to inspect and find evidence that there has been an ECU swap (tune). You may be able to contact LAP3 and Lozic to see if there is a way to determine if the ECU in the car has been tuned or not.

As for the speed of the car. Many think that the Stinger is underrated from the factory. My suggestion would be to find another Stinger locally and try driving each others cars to compare.

Some people, like myself, changed transfer case oil. Also, with that mileage, might be a good idea to check/clean intake valves.

I think all the aftermarket ECU tunes are clearly marked with a sticker they put on the ECU are they not?

No, tuned ECU's look just like factory ECU's. Reality is, that they are simply factory ECU's that have been "flashed". Other than the tuner writing a few numbers or letters with a sharpie on the back, there is no way of knowing if the ECU is tuned by just looking at it.

where is the transfer case on these cars?

Watch here:
- 0:15 seconds the rear diff is center screen
- 0:30 the cross member (gray) and transmission pan (black) are center screen
- 1:25 the front diff is center screen

If you freeze it at 0:32, from top to bottom you will see the big gray cross member (1), bottom edge of transfer case (2), a thin black cross member for the transfer case (3), and then the black transmission pan (4):

That's the plug I used to suck the old oil out, which was very dark after 100k miles, and put new in. Took just under 1 quart. 20240304_123239.png
