I had a short stoplight sprint with a newer Charger R/T this morning (in Northern Mexico, of course) on my way back from picking up my mounted snow tires. So I had 200 extra lbs of ballast in the hatch and didn't fully use launch control so the wheels didn't slam backwards. I left off idle. You can see the R/T creep forward on the right side of the screen just prior to the light going green. I put a couple carlengths on him through and after the intersection, and he mostly held his ground there until I backed off. The R/T seemed salty about getting left behind in his merge lane, and so he did a fly-by on my driver's side after getting a nice view of my 4 cylinder's tail lights. :DThen he also took off into an open lane further up for laughs. But hey, his exhaust sounded better than mine! Probably on his way to the dealer now to order a 392 (which smoked me the last time I ran a Charger at that same light). All in fun though! :)

Us 4 cylinder guys take the wins when we can get them. 3.3 modded owners can go after the more potent prey, or course.

My take away... You drove to NM to pick up snow tires?
They are sooo much cheaper there due to lack of demand... ;)

You know.... 2 years ago, I drove to the microcenter in MO because they were the only ones that had a particular cpu in stock. It was either pay the ebay scalpers or go on a road trip.

I'm fairly sure I heard the launch control chime ;)

Good ear! I was ready to do it with everything turned off and ready, and holding my brake with the left foot, and just barely on the gas on the right. Maybe a tad over idle...

Such a sweaty try-hard lmfao!

Good race! :D

My buddy has a 5.7 RT fully loaded... all the bells and whistles... very comfortable car if I am being honest and with ventilated seats it's to die for down here in hot South Florida! Recently he had it lowered on coilovers (I do not remember which specific brand) and had it straight-piped the maniac. Car is brutally loud and sounds incredible but slow as a dog lmfao! :p

Slower or faster, it's nearly always fun to have a quick run with another enthusiast. Makes life more fun, right? Some are sore losers, and some bad winners, of course. All we can control is how we decide to react to it. Most often, I'm just happy to be able to have an excuse to go through a few gears. :)
