hey i own a 2022 kia stinger gt line and i was curious of what other people 0-60 time was cause the best i got was 4.9 in sport mode and also is there anything i can add to make it more fuel efficient and faster thx
 
Measure 0-60 downhill, it'll be faster with better mpg.

In general however, the two are mutually exclusive. Gas consumption is proportional to rate of throttle depression.

High 5's for a 0-60mph seem to be the norm for a stock GT Line based on Dragy results and a car review that I've seen, as well as my own initial test on snow tires a few weeks ago.

Any mods done to your 2.5t and what device are you using to measure your acceleration?

i was using my phone it an app called fast r but my friend has a draggy for his rt and it the same on the app so it pretty accurate and the v6 twin turbo go 0-60 in i think 4.6-4.7 i believe and mines is stock but it also awd

Well, either your car is special, the app you're using is special, or you're special.
Like I said, typical 0-60 for the 2.5t is in the high 5.x range.

If you want to make it faster, you can get a Jb4 device, or Lap 3 ECU tune.

I dont see stock 2.5 going under 5sec. Something is wrong here.
 
yea... some people with the 3.3 only get around 4.9 depending on the situation.. While theoretically possible, i find it hard to believe a phone app gps timer to be accurate with enough precision for this... If you are getting 4.9 truly stock, then congrats!!
 
There have always been what the hot rod world called "factory freaks", cars that outperform the vast majority of it's brothers.

In this case, I think the numbers are so far out of line as to be unreachable by even a factory freak. Big difference in HP and torque between the 2.5 and 3.3. Don

The original hype for the AWD 3.3L was 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. Your unicorn is very, very fast. :)
 
What was the weather like and what state do you live in?

I got my stock GT AWD to do 4.2s 3 different times on 3 different roads on 3 different days, all in just 1 attempt. A lot of people previously said that's pretty good for a stock GT. However, in each run the outside air temperature was only 10-14 degrees (Fahrenheit). I did a run yesterday in 32 degrees and was at 4.4s. I live in Illinois, which is about 600 feet above sea level. Naturally, people in higher elevation areas will get a bit slower times compared to lower elevations. I have no idea what elevation they get factory numbers from. I read that for every 1,000 or so feet above sea level you go, you lose about 3% of your engines power.

Won't be more fuel efficient, if it has sufficient traction it could be faster. Don
I didn't say smaller overall diameter, I just said smaller wheels. Although, to a point, smaller diameter would likely be more efficient too, but at some point it raises RPM too much.

I'm with others who suggest the devices aren't doing a good job capturing / recording. Best way to know for sure is a 1/4 mile track.

The 2.5T is quick but not sub 5 seconds quick.

So either You're measuring it with a bad tool or You're running a tuned car, or...You have a 3.3 and You're not aware of that :)
Measure it with a Draggy or Racelogic and then post results.
