• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi - the steering wheel on my 21 GT has been off centre since delivery. It’s been into the dealer 4 times and had 3 wheel alignments but is still off! Does anyone know the technical solution to correct this? Car is going back to dealer again in 4 weeks…cheers

The alignment can be correct with a crooked wheel. They have to put it up on the lift and do a give and take from each tie-rod until it’s in the center.

That is, unless there’s some gremlin with the electronic rack. This is my first E rack vehicle and I really don’t know much about it.

I center and ratchet strap my steering wheels down and then do my alignments. A habit I picked up when removing racks and steering shafts to protect the clock spring from breaking.

If the steering wheel is off and the alignment is right then they did the alignment without it centered..Hawk is correct they have to do a give and take on the tie rods..unless one of them bottoms out then they need to disconnect the tie rod end from the Hub assembly to unscrew the tie rod and reattach to get more adjustment....this is just lazy predelivery. See pic for what I mean by bottom out..if the threads are at the lock nut they cannot adjust any more without detaching.

Request to sit in the car, center the wheel yourself while they do the alignment.

Bad alignment, plain and simple. Easy fix for any competent tech.

Part of the alignment is centering the steering wheel.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

That is not how that works.

The rack mounted power steering can only add power assist. It can not cause your steering wheel to be off center while going straight. Your steering wheel is still 100% mechanically connected to the steering rack.

Have them put 70kg or so in the front seat.
