Squared setup any thoughts

Either way, you could always go for the slightly higher offset and put on spacers to get them where you want

True. That's my eventual goal, although I probably have at least 15k miles to decide - haven't even hit 1k :)

Ditto, I've got this summer to burn my Pilot 4S's off before my stockers turn into winter wheels.

RWD here! Front stock wheel width is 19X8 and Rear stock width is 19X8.5. So i just squared it uo to match the rear width to 19X8.5 all around and it looks better or nicer. I don't think it will stress the front drivetrain for going half inch more in the front.

Pics!!!

Hey Thanks for the post. I want to go to a square set up also which I have the same staggered set up you did. Wierd thing is they told me at discount tire that I would have to go with 4 of the 19×8 because the 8.5 would not fit the front. Said something about the break would not clear. But if you did it then I know it works. So what size tire did you go with to square up? Thanks ahead of time.

8.5 wide clears the caliper, just barely, as you can see. Running a 225 OE tire on that rim. I don't know at what point a wider tire would cause rubbing issues.

Wheel Offset is +30 and tire size 255/35/19

They don’t make an 18/19" wheel with our PCD unfortunately. As a tip, from what I can see we share fitment with Mustangs, looks like generally speaking, if it fits a mustang it fits a stinger. So if you’re looking for wheel ideas you can look on mustang and Camero forums.
I’ve seen mustangs running 18”x10” +40. Are you saying that fits the stinger?

Yup! That’d fit, most mustang fitments work, but there are some fitments that are a little lower offset or wider than we can fit.

I posted a range of widths and offsets that fit front and rear in the other thread

You cannot guarantee caliper clearance unless you know the specific wheel. Spoke designs differ wheel to wheel. While these specific ones shown in the quote clear, a different one may not.

Agreed. I am using my wheel as an example. Offset has to make the difference. This "Watkins" wheel in front is 40.

Sorry, I see this is the squared thread, those would fit fine in the back, not in the front.

I learned this the hard way when getting new wheels for my Evo. Were the same spec as the wheels I had my "winter" tires on and thought they'd fit. Ended up not being able to return them either cause I didn't even test fit them before I had the tires mounted :(

Hey guys....have a question here about a squared setup. I've got a GTS. Another guy has a set of staggered wheels for sale for cheap. Can I take his staggered setup and my staggered set up and make a squared setup (or 2). Can I run the Rear Set at all 4 corners, or the front set at all 4 corners. It would be great if I could do both, could make one a dedicated winter setup (I could do that with the staggered anyway, but I like the idea of being able to rotate my wheels.

Thanks in advance for my ridiculous question.

It's been done - I think you have to run a 5mm spacer on the front if you want to put the rear 255s on the front. I THINK the 225s should fit without issue - some cars come that way in the snow belt..

Interesting. I'm just outside Philly. No bad snow this year and I bought it on Leap Day. I'm gonna have to do some digging to see if anyone has done this.

Thanks for your response!

Some on here have put the OE rear wheels on the front, i.e. squared. And as already said, my understanding is the same; 5mm spacer in front using the 8.5" wide rear wheels as front wheels. The 8" squared with 225/40 is good for snow tires; narrower is better when riding on snow tires. So, you'll use your 8.5" squared with summer tires, and 8" squared with A/S or snow tires.

So, to run the Rears on the Front you need to add spacers? But you don't need spacers to run the fronts on the rear? This is nowhere near my area of expertise, so I really appreciate the response.

There is a ton more clearance with the smaller rear brake calipers. So, moving the narrower front rims to the rear just adds even more clearance. The reverse is true when talking about the wider rear rims.

Also, when you widen your front tires you reduce understeer and might experience oversteer when you enter a curve "spiritedly". :) If you do experience uncomfortable oversteer, raise rear psi and/or lower front psi to achieve the steering response that you prefer.

could you possibly link me to the Eibach lower springs and sway bar kit for my 2019 2.0T premium I can’t find the right ones
I have square 19x9.5+25 with the full eibach kit. Never drove the square set up before all the eibach stuff went on, but's it's a whole new car.
