Changing my mind, thinking of going with a squared 19x8 +40 245/40-19. For AWD non summer all season setup. Any thoughts. My question is how different will the car react? Thanks in advance all.
Other than pushing the car hard, I don't think that you'll feel any appreciable difference in handling. And to feel a difference between staggered 19" and the squared 19", you'd have to push the staggered to the limit first. If you haven't done that, you'll never know. And, you'll get to rotate your tires.
I am running the same squared set-up, only not lowered. I love it much more than the staggered. I drive out like I stole it. She handles better than the staggered stock set-up. Having the wider wheel-base provides excellent stability, especially through the mountain curves.
The staggered setup gives more grip at the rear for RWD setups, to help ensure you get the power to the ground. AWD setups are squared to ensure there are no minor rolling diameter differences between front and rear.
If you run narrower wheels at the rear than stock on a RWD setup (to match them to the fronts), you'll have slightly less power-down traction at the rear - launches may be harder, and you may get power overseer slightly earlier.
Alternatively, if you match fronts to stock rears, you may reduce initial understeer from the front as they hold on longer.
The +25 offset with the 19x9.5 provides plenty clearance in the front, although it gives about 1/2 inch of poke. You could probably even go to a +32 offset with 19x9.5 and still clear. I like the aggressive look of the poke. it's not gross like the trucks when they poke out 6+ inches....

RWD here! Front stock wheel width is 19X8 and Rear stock width is 19X8.5. So i just squared it uo to match the rear width to 19X8.5 all around and it looks better or nicer. I don't think it will stress the front drivetrain for going half inch more in the front.

Looks really good. I like it, bit I am inclined to say that there is something different about the AWD. Every 8.5 +30 on front of AWD I have seen has alot more poke than you. Confused
