• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I have noticed that my speed camera warning countdown has stopped working, not sure when this happened. I still get the verbal warning and I get a faint 'ding' as I cross the camera, but no longer do I get the countdown or frantic dings if I am overspeed.
I have looked everywhere in the configuration and can't find any setting, I do hae the latest software update.

Look under both SOUND, Guidance Settings and NAVIGATION Alert settings. There are quite a few settings for volume and beep settings and distance intervals.

You may have to untick One distance interval setting to highlight others where you can change distance alerts.

I’ve lost all navigation sounds after the last update. I tried to reinstall the update off the same card, did not help. I am planning to cut a new sd card on a Windows machine, as suggested elsewhere, in a bid to fix the sound problem.

When I checked after your first post there were various sound settings for loudness of beeps to alerts to sounds under the two headings. One distance setting was ticked with two greyed out. When you untick one the other two became selectable. I would look through those before doing updates again . Was it the latest My23 Stinger or were you upgrading from an earlier model. I have My23 and I am not touching the software even though schools that were gone 20 years ago still come up on Navigagtion, banks gone 20 years ago still there and new schools in the past 10 years not appearing at all so Kia must run really old Navigation software in the latest model. So I don't have any interest in trying to upgrade it and its the latest software version anyway.

Yes, I can update it manually, just stick the SD and it detects a new firmware

Anyone know how to disable just this sound/warning without affecting any others? The verbal warning and beeps are very annoying and wakes the baby. Just want this particular feature disabled, with nothing else affected. (2022 model)
