You probably meant "Bolt-on" spacer vs "slip-on" spacers. Bolt-on spacer and slip-on spacer can be hub centric or floating. Of course I do recommend always to buy hub centric spacer regardless of typeIf you have hub centric spacers rotating tires won't change anything, they wouldn't even touch the nuts on the spacers securing them to the hub when doing that work.
I prefer Slip-on hubcentric spacers over bold-on hubcentris spacers and I consider them safer since you only have the nuts on the wheels which are easily accessible to re-torque when/if needed. On the other end they requires extended studs which is not an option if you want to easily move from one set of wheel with spacer and other set without spacer (winter vs summer setup for example).
I prefer BMW setup where there is no stud, you use lug bolt to fit the wheel on the hub. Much easier to run spacer with extended lug or not...
