I got my Eibach springs installed yesterday at a very reputable shop in Charlotte. They did the alignment post install and on the way home i noticed the ride was "bouncy" and the yellow triangle warning indicator was lit up on the dash (not sure if this is related to the install of the borla exhaust which was done as well).

I am curios if anyone else experienced this post install and if after settling the ride quality stabilizes? It also seems like the ride quality is rougher vs stock. I used to drive the car in "sport mode" 90% of the time before install and even that ride quality was better vs post spring install.

They might have forgotten to plug in the EDC plug into the shock. From my readings, the system goes into a "extra firm" setting. Run a report through MyUVO and it might say Suspension or Engine related

After installing Eibachs, the ride is definitely firmer than stock, but I wouldn't classify it as bouncy. I don't have any significant rebound over large or small bumps that cause bounce, but the car's a bit less cushy than it was with stock springs. Not sure if that's what you're referring to, but if so then it's pretty normal. Unfortunately I can't help on the warning light but I'd take it back to the shop that did the installation and have them deal with it.

Spoke to the shop and taking it back in later today!

SOLVED! Thanks for everyone's help. I took the car back today and they found the passenger side EDC wire was loose. Once they reconnected it the issue was resolved. Car drives perfectly and rides, handles better than stock!

I also had them take the Borla Exhaust off and revert back to stock. The exhaust was very loud to the point i couldnt be on the phone in the car.

The Borla exhaust sounds amazing from what I've heard, but it sounds more like something you might want on a fun weekend car versus a daily driven car. Unless you're in your teens or 20's with no family or kids.

It does sound amazing but given there are no resonator's and its just a straight cat back exhaust with down pipes it was very loud. Even the installer was shocked because he said usually turbos are much more quieter.

They were willing to build resonators but i didnt want to risk it and spend more money. I am just going to sell the exhaust.

You might be better off just adding the SSR performance catless downpipes. They add lots of power and a little bit more sound to the exhaust without giving you a headache.

I know exactly where you're coming from I was just about to post in the custom exhaust thread. I have th Ark grip exhaust which has resonators, dynamatted the boot area, not much luck. 2 days ago I had the stinger at an exhaust specialist , he drove it for a while listening to the drone and consul, dash, and battery charging/USB tray shake and vibrate.

So he custom made out of 304 Ss a mid pipe with less flow to create more back pressure and had it further towards the front of the car rather than to the rear where the previous one was. Added to that two open time resonators (I've now got 4). While I was there the technical rep from varex happened to drop in. He then told me why the ark had more drone, I'll save you the spiel. My advise go EVC 100%.

Now drone manageable, vibration well not in the consul or dash only in the USB station thing if its closed. Cost 1,200 AUD.

Note. The exhaust note has changed, no raspy note. More growly, humming sound. Sounds way more up market. Bottom line not 100% solved . But happier and driveable. ( re post in custom exhaust)

Just installed Eibach Pro Kit springs on 3.3 awd. So far only about 3/4” lower all around it seems.

So I hope it will indeed settle and drop some more as they were advertised as 1.4” front and 1.2” rear drops.

They drive the same (to me) as OEM. Perhaps slightly less nose diving while braking.

Looking forward to scraping on speed bumps (did not happen today. Lol).

Better pics in a day or two.

Car looks great. What did you do to get the wheels black

Powder coat
can you get a closer pic of the wheels? want to see how much gloss it produced.

Also - can you remove the powder coat down the road?

High gloss. Pics may be of the wheels when dirty. But I assure you, as glossy as the black gloss trim on the car.

In theory they can be stripped (blasting) and refinished. Just like paint, there was prep blasting and (likely) chemical primer / cleaners to the bare rims prior to PC

Yes my Eibach springs took a while to settle to their lowest position. Your rear height looks a little high. Mine is a RWD I'm lead to belief the springs were engineered to suit AWD. On the RWD the springs sit a little lower. Mine settled at 1" lower on front and 1-1/4" rear.

How long did it take to fully settle? I’ll wait on the alignment until then.

I put the mid level Borla exhaust on my stinger and it is not too loud at all. At 80 mph it does not drone at all and I am getting 30 mpg on the interstate

got the borla s type as well. I love it too. it is loud at times but so worth it.
