Hey guys and gals I just bought a 2019 used with 15k miles gt.
On the interstate drive home I noticed a slight vibration in steering wheel around 70+MPH.

Anyone else have that as well or do you think I need to get tires balanced?

Mine is steady and smooth at all speeds. What happens if you push it to extra legal speeds (in Mexico, of course)?

Welcome to the forum.

Hmmm ok I guess I may have to look into getting the tires balanced. It’s not terrible but definitely noticeable but since you say yours is totally smooth makes me consider getting it checked.

thanks!

I'm pretty paranoid about errant vibrations and I've noticed the faintest feel when going down the highway sometimes. Turns out the paving in that area isn't the smoothest. Try going down a different section of highway before freaking out too badly. Mine is smooth at all speeds, but my perception can be thrown off by the feedback from the road if paying too close attention.

yea that’s a good point. I was on I-10 so it wasn’t the worst street but I know places I can try with smooth pavement. Not like it takes long to get to the speed lol

Mine has a vibration around 80 that drives me crazy - its slight, but it's there. I took it to Discount Tire two weeks ago to get a balance and the guy said they were nearly perfect. I'll know for sure when I put my winter tires on in November.

Could be a bent rim if you got the tires balanced, tire pressure is another one. This car is very sensitive to tire pressure.

Gotta be wheel balance, or tyre wearing outta round.

I had the same issue at 60-70+ but read on this forum somewhere about having the rotors turned. I bought mine used as well with 5,400 miles so I took it to a Kia dealer near me. They turned the Front rotors right on the car without removing for $70 each. (You may be able to fight for it under warranty) Fixed it! Ran perfect however after about 11,000 miles it’s back.
