Sell The Kia Stinger!

The local dealers here don't even have the Stinger emphasized on their websites . There is one slide about the $299 lease offer and that's it. Let's start there.

Other than possibly using a distinctive voice-over narrator, I don't think you sell a car like the Stinger using Celebrity endorsements. You sell a Stinger with emotion, which means lots of visuals and/or a message that makes you think. Both of the Stinger ads already shown here do just that. I particularly like the "Change Happens" ad because it speaks to the need for a paradigm shift while providing plenty of action shots of the Stinger. The ad effectively promotes the Stinger as well as the brand's rebirth.

I also find the glamour shots on Kia's website to be quite effective.

In short, I think Kia has a great understanding of the necessary messaging, they just need more exposure.

KIA USA should take at least half of the KDM Stingers they got and put them in shopping malls around the country. It's possible they started doing this already but they need to do it more to show non enthusiasts the car.

KIA USA needs to advertise. I don't watch a lot of tv but I haven't seen one commercial on the car. Newspaper and non-car magazine ads would be nice too. Keep the hamsters out of any Stinger commercials.

Have a Stinger on display at car racing and car show venues for people to check it out.

All of this has been done before with other manufacturers so it's not that difficult. They just have to do it.

The question I have is, how many Stingers is KIA planning to sell in the USA? Are they gonna sell as many as they can build or will it be like the Chevy SS was in the US where they may only plan to sell 500 or 1000 (or whatever many) per year. If KIA is only planning on selling a few hundred a year, they may feel they'll sell all of them with just minimal advertising and then let the cars speak for themselves as people see them on the street. But if they plan on selling high volumes of them here then they're going to have A LOT of them not moving on lots with that strategy. Enthusiasts like us will buy them but the average Joe won't know what they're looking at or that it even exists in the first place.

To be honest tho I want the stinger to be very rare and unique.
But that's probably just me. I like unicorns lol
