When you look at the more aggressive PS4S (same tread pattern otherwise), you can tell that long before halfway worn, the PS4 and PS4S would be identical tread pattern-wise: all the aggressive difference in the PS4S is in the first few thousands miles of wear. So, by now you have identical tread patterns. Now, compound, that's a different story. But in street driving, even "spirited" driving, having one tire with a bit more gription than the other is only going to reduce overall gription by a very small amount. Again, one of these is likely going to wear faster than the other. And contrary to
@Travis Wills , I think that the PS4S has longer wear, if either of them does - why would the tire with the longer treadlife warranty wear faster? Right now, it's looking like my PS4S rears are going to be gone right around the 15K miles (reduced treadlife) warranty, or about the same as I got out of the OE PS4 rears (even though 3/4 full treadlife only sounds a bit impressive because the PS4 only has a 20K treadlife warranty for the rears).
