Yes. And even if you don't do a buyout. "They" will assess the resale value of the car and bless or curse accordingly. So make sure a repaint is a good one.

If you're buying it out, you can do whatever. Take a chainsaw to it, remove the seats and sell them, eat the steering wheel, the usual. If you change your mind and try to return it, they might not take it back and/or charge you for "damages"
