I couldn't find a thread specific to this

Was wondering about swapping old round Kia badges for the new ones, which look heaps better. If it wasn't for the holes I would just debadge.

Does the new badge cover the holes from the old badge? If it does then it might be an easy swap.

It does. To cover the holes you’ll have to offset it very slightly to the right but I’m very particular and can’t tell.

I put some grey silicone in the holes as well and you can just see the edge of them if looking up close, mostly by the K. Offsetting it just a bit more would have fully covered them.

Really appreciate the pictures and explanation. I bought the emblem and the vinyl and have it ready with an appointment, but was worried about fitment. Seeing it on the car really helps!

Bought it on eBay for $15. It’s the oem one that I painted with Duplicolor Shadow Black Chrome paint kit.

What did you do at the back?

K8 stinger has the new badge for the front as well. But it's quite a bit more than whatever eBay offering SKStinger found.

Yeah. Order from eBay. So much cheaper and it’s the same OE badge. This is the one I purchased.

this looks great. i have a 2019 GT as well. i've read that some older stinger models have indented areas underneath the original front oval emblems. but yours wasn't like that? the body was smooth?

Thanks! No indents, just holes.

how did you take off the AWD badge?
A little bit of heat from a heat gun to warm the adhesive and fishing line to saw through the glue. Goo Gone to remove the residue.

Did the same with the GT badge as I prefer the clean debadged look on my vehicles.
