Has anyone had their rain sensor cover fall off while driving? It’s the cap above the rear view mirror.

Mine fell off today and I can’t get it to clip back in without falling...

i removed mine when i swapped for a lit mirror.

There are "slides" on the bottom that have to line up and then "clips" on the top. Getting the lower slides to properly line up while keeping the clips clear took a few tries. I was mostly worried about damaging any wires or sensors in there so was being very cautious.

For ref...top is closest to headliner and bottom is closest to dash

Are you missing the smaller piece? There's a small plastic cover in the middle, and then the big one. If the small one is missing, the big one gets pretty loose.

I am having the same issue. It is very cold in my area at the moment. Not sure if that is causing the problems. Any input on how to fix it would be appreciated.

I went to the dealership and had them replace the part. It seems to fit better now. If it acts up again, I will have them replace both the inner and outer cover. Hope this helps anyone that is having this issue too.

Hello there! I'm having the same problem. Just went loose, while driving. I let a car hi-fi specialist have look at it. Wanted to get a dashcam installed anyway.

And did it went off again or was the problem solved for good?

I gave up and slapped a piece of black Gorilla tape over the cover. And, I never saw any smaller piece, only the rectangular cover that keeps falling out.

Yes I already thought about that. But I found the problem at mine. There is actually one clip broken, so I couldn't fix it anymore. I ordered a new one at my lokal Kia dealer. Hopefully that will do it.
