Hey gang,

Recently pulled the trigger on a blackvue dashcam and a radenso xp radar detector. I really wanted a clean look, but didn't know if there would be enough room to mount both on the mirror stalk (GT2).

I took the plunge and bought 2 blendmounts, and... they both fit!

Just thought I'd let y'all know in case anyone else was wondering.

I used mirror taps for power, but there wasn't enough room in the mirror wiring harness to do 2 at once, so I used positaps for the 2nd power source.

Super happy with how it turned out.

That looks great. My Blackvue is just stuck on the windshield and with this Florida sun it will probably just fall off.

Thanks for sharing!

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks!

I think we were both attempting the same dual mount test at the same time. I can also confirm a V1 fits with the Blackvue mount.

Thanks, I was planning to do this with a Blackvue and my Escort 360 MAX glad it can be done

Nice. Did you tap power for both by the mirror?

I plan to, I actually planned ahead when I installed my radar detector I added an extra power and ground so that I didn't have to tap again when I added a camera.

Yep. I used blendmount mirror taps for both, but couldn't quiiiiite fit the taps into the same slots, so I had to tap the actual wires for the dashcam using these little guys:

Amazon.com: Lockitt POSI-TAP 6 pack wire connectors 20-22 awg: Home Improvement

I couldn't get the tabs into the connector either when I did the Radar Detector so I used Wire Connectors - Pack of 10 Low Voltage T Tap Wire Connectors T Type 2 Pin Solderless No Wire - Stripping Required for Mid-span Branching in Wires Connection Fits 20/22 AWG Cable Wires - - Amazon.com and left myself extra power and ground for when I add the camera.

Looks really good, do you perhaps have the link for the actual "Blendmounts" my detector is stuck onto my windscreen with suction cups and I really don't like the look of it there.

Finally got around to completing this setup thanks to the info posted here. Turned out great, very clean. Dashcam powered by OBDII and detector powered by tapping into mirror.

Blackvue on the windscreen should be fine, had one here in Sydney in the Aussie sun for years & it has never fallen off.

That looks super tidy, one of the other replies said the Blendmount v1 works with the Blackvue dashcam but which Blendmount did you use for the radar detector?
