Hi all,

Acquired my Stinger about four months ago and really enjoying it. Glad to see the aftermarket developing, though I, like many, want to balance upgrades with the warranty.

I see a lot of speculation on what dealers might say or do in reaction to the Racechip. Anyone had any actual experiences they'd like to share? Or, if they've asked the dealer, what they dealer said?

I'm in the DC area and the dealer I take the Stinger to seems to be pretty good, so I'm hopeful! But, would love to hear if anyone else has approached and asked.

Thanks much!

This is really going to vary by dealer. To be honest I wouldn't trust a dealer telling you they're okay with it anyway unless you know them personally. The moment a warranty claim can be denied because of the race chip you can bet your ass they will deny it. The good news is the race chip is just a piggyback so you're best to just pull it off everytime you head in for service instead of hoping and praying they will be okay with it.

There’s a Kia dealer in Killeen TX, that will sell you the car chipped and lowered on 20’s, backed with full warranty.
