I can't push the driver-side rear seatbelt buckle down far enough or out of the way to avoid leaving an impression in the seat. I noticed the 2018 in the dealer's showroom had impressions as well (not as bad). What am I doing wrong?

I remember reading about others having the same issue with the impressions. I am able to push mine down into the crevice so that it doesn't press into the leather. However, some others that can't do the same, end up placing towels and other stuff onto the seat before pulling the rear seats down.

others have places cushion pads on top of the buckles to reduce the pressure point and resultant "dent"

Thank you both! Can someone please take a picture of the proper stowed position? I think I need to talk to the dealer as I found some blue plastic down around the buckle below the surface of the seat.

P.S. -- @westcoastGT Nooo! I liked your old avatar! :D

You're already doing it right, that's just as far as the receivers tilt down. You should probably just pad with a towel or something, if you're putting enough weight on the folded seats for long enough time to leave a concerning dent.

The blue is probably just plastic wrap that wasn't removed during transport. Mine still had blue plastic around them too.

Thanks! The service tech at the dealer showed me that the headrest keeps the seat just off the buckle. I now have a moving blanket to spread the load.
