So I've had my Stinger for 2 months and I've given up trying to connect the Homelink to my garage opener. It sucks to have this high-tech car and still need the little clicker sitting in my console. I go through the pairing process in the guide and it never works.

Has anyone else had trouble like this? Is it possible my garage opener is too old?

I successfully paired mine with an ancient Stanley opener, which had the old 'dip switch' code setting method that was the standard prior to the newer rolling code technology. It paired pretty much immediately, and that opener was seriously old - probably 30 years.

I recently replaced the Stanley with a new Liftmaster/Chamberlain opener that did have the newer rolling code security, and the Stinger also paired to that one with no problem. The only issue I had was with an older car with an older Homelink system - that required a wireless 'bridge' to accept the old Homelink signal and restransmit to the new opener using the new security protocol. But on the Stinger - no problem with either, and I also have a gate opener paired to it on the second switch. That also paired pretty well immediately.

Lots of 'how-to' guides online, that aren't specific to the Stinger - have a look at a couple and make sure you are using the right technique. Also, look up your old opener as well, and make sure it doesn't use some proprietary technology that isn't Homelink compatible. Good luck!

Search on here, there is a thread about this where I posted a video that made all the difference for me when trying to get it to work.

I found that when "copying" the code from the dedicated clicker to the mirror, that i needed to use a button that was NOT already assigned to the opener. All of my "clickers" had three buttons. When holding clicker next to homelink and using button 1, i could not get car to pair to opener at all. As soon as copied button 2 signal to mirror it worked just as the manual stated.

I own a GT and bought one to hook up. You need to be somewhat close to garage.

Thanks, everyone, especially @DaJackson - I got it working with the video.

HomeLink

I had a rolling code style. Using the video directions, it didn't take the first time, but I got it the second.

I have the sam3 problem with my newly purchased 2019 Stinger. My last four Infiniti’s worked just fine

Try a few times with the video I posted above. I got it working after a failure or two.
