That is the question. What is the best thing to start with? Bang for the buck, what direction do I go? Are any required if Lap3 product is in my future with maybe a little pop in the tune? Are both necessary short term or long term? I am just getting to the point where I think these are the next changes to make. Thanks in advance for answers.

Save yourself a headache and leave primaries alone. You can replace secondaries for the sound, without any problems.

The "lucky" part about the Stinger is that fueling, stock turbos, and the restrictive exhaust manifolds/turbine housings all tend to hit their limits around the same time, so once you're there it's time to either leave things alone or go big.

You can follow the established upgrade path (plugs/intake/mild tune, E30 higher tune, CPI/WMI when you run out of fuel, BEF to fully optimize), and after that in my opinion you should either:

- Leave the downpipes (and probably exhaust itself unless you just want sound) alone, since the bottleneck there is upstream of the turbo, or

- Get the TK700 upgrade kit, which is much cheaper than the Lap3 and IMR kits and more drop-in, and measure how narrow the manifolds get after their porting (Tork dropped different size coins through to find the stock size without cutting them open)

Yup, most leave the primary DP alone and only change out the secondary. Far too many nightmare stories of studs breaking on the turbos.

Beware that if you have a catback it will make it far louder. One fun aspect is hearing the gurgles/burbles once you go with ark or jun bl secondaries. It also changes the tone, makes it far more aggressive. Some just change out the secondary with rest of the exhaust being stock and that works pretty good too. With my borla active I can be heard blocks away :D

I have MBRP cat back currently and I'm good with louder. Sounds like secondaries is where I'm headed.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I got my catback 1st, then secondary downpipes, and last primary downpipes. Just make sure you have someone you trust doing the primary downpipe install.

Yeah, definitely will. Not trying to break bolts up there.

Do you have exhaust tips now? You'll definitely need to get it once you replace secondaries. :)

I plan on buying some exhaust tips.

Putting the secondaries back on the car eliminated the oil smoke issue... plus I was able to keep my 100cell primaries.

Would have sucked to lose that sound everytime I got on it, it's the most intoxicating part of this car.

Is the issue with stock tips because they don't actually reach the exhaust?

Aftermarket tips help with exhaust drone by funneling all of the exhaust away from the car but funny enough, I'm getting a lot less drone once I got my primaries installed. Everyone's exhaust drone threshold to different though, I think some drone is a side effect of having a louder exhaust. Aftermarket tips do look a lot better.

Well the stock exhaust rings dont allow the sound to exit outside of the bumper. The sound basically bounces back into the empty hatch area of the stinger and it acts like a boombox so to say. Once you use tips that extend outside the drone is much reduced and it helps even with the sound a little.

When i did a muffler delete using stock exhaust rings i could not tolerate the drone even for 1 day. It was absolutely unbearable. There are some nice exhaust tips i use from ebay that fit the 2022+ stingers well.

These are tips i got. You can change the inlet and outlet size plus they have to be oval shape to fit better.

Which size did you buy, did the tips fit cleanly without any trimming? I have a 2022 Stinger.

I got 2.25 inch inlet and 4.5 inch outlet. Fits nicely and won't rub or hit the sides. You can probably fit 5 inch but it will might rub. When I tried them on it was definitely going to rub so you might have to trim the sides a bit.

Here is a picture of my current ones. I am switching to the mbrp pro active so I already have ordered the 2.5 inch inlet and 4.5 inch outlet sizes. But yea they look pretty darn good and they are great quality. No fading or decoloration issues.

To clarify, this fit is on a 22' with the stock catback? Also, Ebay only shows sizes in metric, did you get the 2.2" (57mm)? Thanks.

Yes the size is 2.2" 57mm inlet but this is for the borla catback. Not the stock catback.

What I gathered from this post here, the stock catback inlet diameter is 2.0" (51mm):

You will have to remove those exhaust rings to fit the tips. Kind of a pain but it will look great. Also most definitely helps with drone issues so that the sound doesnt bounce back into the rear bumper which the stock exhaust rings will do. The stock piping doesn't extend outside. Plus would look kind of weird if you do extend them further out.

Hope this helps! :)
