I have uploaded the second video to my channel, GT Garage. I PlastiDipped my stock 18" wheels gloss black using PlastiDip.

I did the same! Then 3 weeks later I curbed them. So I re-did them with some rash guards for protection.
I already liked the look of the black Plastidip, but the red wheel guards set it off

Wonder how that would look against the red paint?

Try it and see! I did one side of the car just to see If I would like it. I gave it a week to let it stew. Then went back the next weekend and did the other side. I will say, put the Guards on before the plastidip. You can just peel the dip off of the guards after. That way the Guards are firmly attached to the wheel and not to the plastidip.

Nice video, thanks for posting. With the dip you don't need to use the cards or worry about removing the center caps. You just peel around them after. It looks good tho.

Nice job, man. Your video helped me decide to do this for my first Spring project.

I may do this will my summer OEM wheels. I bought some black 18" winter wheels and I am really enjoying the look. The picture with the curb guard looks REALLY nice. Do people still plasti-dip? It's MILES cheaper than powdercoating.

Plasti-Dip is totally the way to go. I dipped my OEM 19s in Brass Monkey from DYC a few months back. This was my first time attempting anything with Plasti-Dip. The color really compliments both the HiChroma Red and the smoke chrome trim.

The kit came with 4 cans of Brass Monkey color. However, next time I dip, I’m going to put down a base color (black, grey, white) to even the surface tone first. I’ve seen some other applications of this color with a black base coat and it makes the brass tone really pop.

Best part is that it is fully reversible (easily) if you don’t like it or want to change.
