Painting devils canards

Anyone paint their canards gloss black?? What was your process and outcome? I'm still debating. I have plastic adhesion promotor, black gloss spray paint, and spray clear...

Not canards, but I did my rear M&S diffuser(it comes with a matte black finish)
Light sand, IPA wipe down, then adhesion promoter (following their instructions) then 3 light coats of the gloss black (following the recoat guidelines) Came out great (but I have no good pics sadly)

No clear on top??

Oh... I think I did hit it with a couple of coats of clear... but I'm not 100% sure

I'm gonna hit em with promoter, then 3 coats of gloss black, and 2 coats of clear enamel.. hope don't F em up.

I had my front and rear claws professionally painted by my body shop as I’m not set up to do a destroy-it-yourself job.
My painter said that because of the material being like compressed wood, it took surprisingly a huge amount of paint that soaked into the claws to get the finish he was happy with.

The result is fantastic and I couldn’t be happier as it matches the piano black of the rest of the car.

Ya those look real nice.. I decided last night against painting them and just sprayed some promoter on, then I started layering clear coat on. Just. To get the shine , and ya your guy is right, these things soak it right up.. I'm on 4 coats now
