Hi,

Im planning to upgrade the sways next on my RWD Stinger GT.

Should I do just the rear sway 1st or go all the way and replace both? In normal driving, the stock setup is fine for me. But ive felt the twitchiness in the turns @ 100+ mph during my last track day and i want to get rid of that before i track it again.

I think ill go for the eibachs, but im concerned changing both would make normal driving uncomfortable, as I do use the car for kid duty as well.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Go for both. You’ll have no regrets. The rear is a bitch to install the front is a snap.

Go for both.

I did both, but the rear was in a year and a half before I put the front Eibach in. Neither installation altered the ride comfort that I could tell. They are on "soft" setting. The rear bar is a must. The front dramatically improved steering feedback, which had felt a bit twitchy at "tire singing" speeds in the curves: the stiffer rear bar was bringing on oversteer. Both bars is highly recommended. But you'll appreciate the more buttoned down feel in the rear with just the rear bar.

I would highly recommend going for both if you can afford it. I would also suggest choosing a solid bar instead of a hollow bar. Ark Performance makes a great kit (CLICK HERE).

Definitely do both, best upgrade for your buck.

Both both both!;)
I did end links as well.

Thanks for the info everyone. Looks like Ill be going for 2!

Another forum post said the eibachs and arks perform similarly, im just leaning towards the former as more members have those and its a more familiar brand.

Is replacing the endlinks a necessity to change the sway bar? I didnt take that into account.

I never changed mine. If you don't lower the car you can retain the stock endlinks.

The back is easy just got to spend a little more time on one bolt

I have the Ark's but mainly because at the time the eibach weren't in stock and I had a limited time between order and getting assistance with the install. The eibach include the zerk fitting to make greasing after install easier if they get noisy. Everything I've heard about pretty much all of the aftermarket sway bars is that they're all a very good upgrade over stock regardless of which you get.

As for the endlinks, they aren't required unless you intend to lower the car later. If you do intend to lower the car later then you might as well go ahead and get the endlinks.

Cool, the car's stock height is already low enough that i do not park on the curb when i have passengers, so i dont see myself lowering the car at all.

Thank you everyone for all your input!

Just to update you guys on how this went...

I had my mechanic buddy replace both front and rear sways with the eibachs, both set to "soft".

Immediately, me and my wife noticed the steering felt so much sharper and lighter. I thought i was ok with the stock sways in normal driving, and boy was I wrong!

The ride when going over speed bumps and road imperfections are significantly harsher though so thats the tradeoff. Also, my mech said the eibachs seemed to have increased the wheelwell space of the car slightly (upsize wheels and tires next mod? Lol)

I just came back from a track day and holy crap what a difference the eibachs made @ 100+ mph! I no longer had to wrestle the car going in and out of turns, and it just felt so precise and planted hitting the apexes. No more sponginess because of the weight shift! I even slid the tail a bit on some of the turns but it never felt out of control not even once.

All in all, the sway bars upgrade is worth every penny if anyone is on the fence about these like I was.

Yeah, the people that say no change in ride quality blow my mind, it's not the same as, but similar to a solid rear axle where you are tying both sides together, so what affects one side is going to affect the other side much more now. It doesn't like going over bumps where only one wheel is reacting. Not that it's horrible, but it's definitely a trade-off. I like the sways and have no plans to take them out. Depending on your goals though, for certain things they can decrease power delivery/traction, like real tight autoX turns with really sticky tires. Sometimes people even disconnect the rear sways for that reason. Point is, there's always a tradeoff.
