Noticing Some Issues!!

So I am closing in on 5000 miles and noticing additional issues.
  1. The Android Auto is still a problem and I found a report that it is particularly awful on newer Kia cars (AutoEvolution). There does not seem to be a fix in the near future although an update of the app is forthcoming.
  2. 360 camera warning comes on randomly. While I am at a complete stop in traffic, with car auto-off, the 360 camera warnings come on. Without any movement from anything around me.
  3. Head-on collision warning seems sporadic and comes on much too late while set to normal. May try the quicker mode and see if that makes a difference.
  4. Washer fluid low warning. I have not checked it yet, but I know I have not used it that much considering all the rain we have had.
  5. No audio from speakers. This may be related to the Android auto problem. Sometimes I would have to completely restart the car just to get audio from any source. It has not happened in a few, but frequent enough to mention here.
  6. Blind spot - hit or miss. Maybe I am not sure when this is supposed to kick in, but sometimes it doesn't warn me when I expect it to (cars literally in my blind spot). And sometimes it comes on when cars are visible. Maybe some calibration is needed??
  7. Mirror turn signal. I thought I figured it out, but noticed that the turn signal light on the mirror was not blinking (noticed while looking at the cars reflection).
That's all I can think of for now. Anyone experience any of these? I'll be mentioning it during my 6000 mile service.
Number 5 I can help you with. Common problem with some Stingers. You need to switch off the quantum logic that is located in the advanced sound menu. This cures it full stop. Don't know why it happens or why it fixes it but it does. As far as I know, Kia hasn't implemented a proper fix at this stage.

Will check it out!

Most of the Android Auto problems come from Android Auto app running on your mobile - and since Google update the app frequently, they regularly fix bugs and introduce new ones. I haven't seen issues in my Stinger as yet, but in previous vehicles I have had to reboot my phone many times - you also need to have a high quality USB cable too - as Android Auto is very fussy about a solid connection, if there is the slightest "crackle" in the data connection, then it gets quite upset.

Coming back to this as some of these are still an issue for me.
#1, New phone, different cable, same problem. Seems like AA + Kia is a bad marriage that cannot be resolved??
#2, Still happening randomly even when the car is not moving! Also, sometimes the camera does not turn on when there is an alert while parking??
New, Auto-shutoff no longer "cuts in". It always shows up orange on the dash and I cannot recall the last time it actually auto-shutoff?
Not sure if its the freezing temps early in the mornings that has these glitching, but is anyone else experiencing any of these issues?

That's actually an old issue; much noticed and talked about. ISG is a joke. I don't even want mine to work. But on those rare occasions when I forget to turn it off, inevitably I'll be shown my error by my engine turning itself off. Hah.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I think, but not certain, that the ISG will auto-disengage depending on temperature. I got my car in November and it has only worked on the rare occasions where it was warm outside.

Have you been to the dealer to ask about these issues yet?

The ISG has a lot of requirements it needs to meet to work. It could even be something like the battery isn't charged enough for the car to activate it. If you haven't been to your dealer yet you should pay them a visit.

hmm.. I'm on a Note 9 android 10 partner has note 8 with android 9, we use AA every time we drive and we are almost to 8k miles only one issue once where it didn't startup properly when connecting the phone.. just unplugging and replugging in my phone at the time resolved the issue.. thankfully not once did our speakers cut out yet like some others have had.. one note, i have noticed a couple times when it did seem a little laggy, when this happened i unplugged phone, killed all other background apps on the phone then reconnect to vehicle and it speeds up.

don't have 360 camera but at very slow/stop and go traffic the proximity sensors do activate this seems to occur when around other vehicles with pdw systems especially around bmws and other vehicles that have their own sensors.

auto shutoff will not activate if the system determines the temperature differs a lot and it can't maintain cabin temperature/humidity, also if the battery isn't above a charge threshold, coolant temp , electric draw from other systems. It does still work in 30 degree Fahrenheit weather just rarely after a long drive I can confirm last week after a hour long drive stopped at a light , 31 degrees and auto stop shut engine off... albeit only for about 45 seconds before it restarted itself.
