Ok my 2018 GT2 with only 54,000 miles has me really scratching my head! The car was driving FINE prior but come out the next day after driving it the night before totally ISSUE FREE I come out the next morning go to start the car and get nothing so right off my mind starts working thinking battery but by the sound of the car attempting to start I started thinking the STARTER but did notice how my car never does the start/stop function anymore and after some research found that once the battery get below a certain voltage it won’t start/stop anymore so my mind starts going everywhere thinking it could maybe be a fuse but Still thinking it’s the STARTER but I went and bought a NEW AGM INTERSTATE Battery for it cause the sales guy did show me on the TESTER where it would jump from 12.2 down to 12.0 then jump to a quick 12.4 then jump back down to 12.2 telling me that it’s the sign off a” going bad” battery so went on and bought it. I came home installed the battery and got the sand damn thing with that distinctive start pattern which was a “ single click” sound and was still thinking the STARTER but then after talking to my TUNER explaining to him the situation he also agreed that the NO START: STOP feature IS A SIGN of a going bad battery also him referring to the “clicking” sound or should I say “SINGLE CLICK sound.. He still agreed it was at the battery… I still don’t feel that but went along with it because he’s the TUNER. So after explaining to him that the battery wasn’t it. All He could do is reply Hmmmf! I tell him as I hac before that it was the STARTER. He then try explaining again to me that how he thought it would be the battery because of the click sound but works find out more when the car got there of course I trusted him. Anyway, so the car never started so I had to call the TOW guy to tow it to my TUNERS shop.
So the Tow man gets there and ask me what’s going on so i tell him the situation so he asks for my key and attempts to start the car but kept trying it over and over so I’m like “Dude what are you doing the car isn’t gonna start so he stopped. So as he’s hooking it up he say’s to me “it’s the “STARTER”! So I’m like what makes you think that and he says back to me “because I been doing this a long time and I was listening to it why attempting to start it and noticed how it was only giving a SINGLE CLICK , and not giving multiple MULTIPLE CLICKS” … following up with again that how he had been doing his job for a long time and knows that when it’s a battery is when you hear the MULTIPLE CLICKS, and when you try to start the car and you just hear the ONE SINGLE CLICK, it’s the STARTER which I had originally thought from the very beginning until the battery guy and my Tuner) made me think different.
I could be wrong but I’m going with yhe TOW guy and my ORIGINAL DECISION…ITS THE STARTER!!!!!!!!
Does anyone agree it’s the STARTER?????

That TOW guy might be correct, and it might be your STARTER. See this thread:

You may need to take your car to a Kia DEALER or a good MECHANIC and see what they say. That sucks though, sorry about your misfortune.

Thank you for your concern but come find out it was a ground wire

Ty. Mine doesn't start. Did all of your lights, including gear shift, door, dash and all other lights Blink like crazy like a Landing ufo,

I’m not sure yet because I didn’t go pick my car up today but I am first thing tomorrow but I will let you know as soon as I find out.
Did you pick up your car yet?
Did you figure out which single ground wire was the cause of all of these problems?

Was the ground cable connected to the battery just loose?

Well, this has to be a record wait time. Just indulging in snark. Why do posters say "I will let you know" and then not return? Bugs me.

i wonder, could it possibly be the battery? Charging the battery charger now.
Given the zero details you have provided.... I can still make the educated guess that, yes, your battery is likely low on charge, or needing to be replaced.

What are the circumstances surrounding your no start condition?

When was it started last?
What is the temperature currently in your part of the world?
How old is your battery?
Are there any reasons to suspect anything other than a dead battery?
Does the vehicle behave normally when it was running?

The posts are readily available under the hood

You can boost the car under the hood easily
