No front camber adjustment?

I just came back from getting new tires and an alignment on my Stinger. So, it seems that you cannot adjust camber in the front? My camber is off in the two front wheels and there is no way to adjust it? Seriously, Kia?

So next question, are there any camber bolt kits for the front? I can't find any that fit our cars and no I don't want to get coilovers with camber plates. :)

Thanks in advance, guys.

Nope. Only the rear is adjustable. Are you lowered? When you say "your camber is off" do you mean outside of spec or just not the same left to right?

I'm lowered on Eibach springs and my camber up front is not crazy. If i remember correctly it was still within the OE tolerance and not the same left to right. While not ideal, it won't impact tire wear as long as your toe is adjusted accordingly and kept as minimal as possible.

In about 7,000 km's of driving I've had no abnormal tire wear.

I'm not aware of any camber kits for the Stinger as yet.

It's out of spec.

Front left is -1.2
Front right is 0.8

Spec is -1 camber left and right.

This could explain why my left tire wore incredibly fast in comparison to the right.

Stock suspension? And you meant +0.8 for the right?

Ok. That's not bad at all. Mine is worse than that.

Did they give you the alignment sheet showing before and after? Can you post it here?

Here is mine.

Thanks. Yeah your camber is fine. Your toe was way out and clearly caused your left tire to wear prematurely.

Now that the toe has been corrected you shouldn’t have any issues. Just check your tires periodically to make sure you have even wear.

The left front tire had heavy inside wear.

Toe affects the outside wear, correct?

Normally there are after market kits you can buy for camber and Caster adjustmust.

Ask your local suspension company, they should have them by now. They can be pricey to have both adjustable.

The other way to the heat up the strut and bend it into the correct values, but I am not sure if anyone does that today. You would have to ask around. Basically, they pull out the struts, heat them up and bend them to give you the correct angles and then bolt them back into your car.

Let us know how you go...

I'd like to know what way you go too. It does suck that there's no adjustment...I've never had a car that was setup that way. Always a little adjustment.

I do think that the car has good front-end grip once you go with a squared tire setup. I am pretty happy with mine now.

To my surprise no one does a camber or Caster kit for the stinger.

There are kits for other Kia cars, just not the stinger. Maybe, the car is not old enough?

I think it’s a bit of an oversight not to have any adjustment. I was planning to lower my car with just springs but after finding out there is no adjustment. I’m going to hold off until there is at least a simple chamber adjustment kit available. I don’t want to run camber plates because this is my Daddy car and I refuse to lower my car with camber that out of spec because of the cost of tires. My DD driver eating front tires does not sound like a good time to me.

Depending on the drop height, you may still be within factory specs in terms of camber. A drop like .75" should not really have that much effect on camber range being way out of spec.

My camber was within spec after lowering, with the storm or ark springs you might be ok. Eibach/ H&r maybe not but maybe someone who owns them can chime in.

Mines already way out of spec on one side. Lowering will just make it worse with no way to adjust. f*cking Kia...

I just reached out to SPC who makes simple camber adjust kits and asked them if they know if any of their kits fit our cars or plan to make a kit for us. I told them how there isn’t a way to adjust the front camber and this would be a good opportunity to fill a gap for this community because there are many of us whom don’t want to go coilovers/camber plates.

Thanks for that and please let us know?

Any updates??
