Just installed R1 Concepts black, cross-drilled and slotted rotors with Powerstop Z26 pads front and back. Completed the “bed-in” process as stated by Powerstop and I have zero complaints. The shake from stock pad/rotor combo everyone eventually experiences is gone. This is by far the easiest brake job I’ve ever. 2 hrs from start to finish because I had to wipe the brembos down. The pads come with new hardware and lube. I got it all from Rockauto for $750 shipped. They had everything in stock. Ordered Wed and showed up Sat evening. Everything came correct. Not trying to be a ad-boy for R/A, but y’all I’m really pleased. I can post part numbers if anyone needs them.

There you go.

That right there is for sure a Texas response...bring cookies or bring trouble, I'm ready either way!

FWIW, it's not good when the drilled holes are lined up circumferentially like that. You can already see circular grooves getting worn from 1 hole to the next. That reduces brake effectiveness over time, as your brake pads and rotors will be worn unevenly and create repeating temperature gradient across the rotor. I'm no a fan of drilled rotors, but good ones should at least position the holes strategically so they are interspersed and not lined up perfectly around the rotor.

Nah I’m good. Pull up.
That's not the only reason. It's so as the cultural revolution goes even crazier, less of your personal info is out there for some redditor to find and nag your company's HR to fire you with.

Did you get new brakes, or just pads and rotors?

I think those are the same pads I got. Powerstop Z26 Street Warrior?

I'm still running the stock rotors, but yeah. 5 days in (so no long-term observation), but yeah: No shake, pads work really well.

Pads (Z26) and rotors (R1 Concepts) No need to change out the Brembo calipers. And yeah same, about 5 days in and zero complaints. No noise, no vibrations, no pads clicking/making noise.

FYI I just installed the Powerstop Z26 front & rear pads I got a few weeks ago and they clunk whenever I change direction (drive <-> reverse) and brake, usually when parking. It's not loud, but I't definitely there, like the quiet dull clink of two billiard balls. I used all the included hardware; pins, retaining brackets, and grease. My batch is dated 2022/04/02 on the box.

FYI I swapped out only my front stock pads for Bosch BC1001 pads and my pulsating is completely gone and they were like $30 for the front set. Left the rears alone.

Best $30 I've spent on my stinger!

Good to know that the bosch pads seem to be getting good marks. Glad they are working for you!
