Greetings,

I am researching for the best set of 19” staggered wheels I can find for the ‘18 GT. I found a great deal, but the salesperson says the rear would be very aggressive due to the offset. Here are the specs:

AVAILABLE SIZESFront : 19x8.5
Rear : 19x9.5
BOLT PATTERN5x114
OFFSETFront: +30mm
Rear: + 22mm
Given the Offset here, how much would the rear wheels protrude from the fender? I don’t mind a little, as long as it isn’t ridiculous. Lastly, what is considered the best specs for staggered wheels on our cars?

Thanks

An inch wider wheel with half the offset. That doesn’t sound too promising.

this is the perfect size, Front, 19x8.5 +32 / Rear,19x9.5 +40. Basically flush front and rear with some room for larger tires, but you can use the stock rubber if it's still good. that's what I did...IMG_0785.webpIMG_7146.webp

I agree with this guy it should be around those numbers for 8.5" and 9.5" wheels

For flush not too agressive and more RWD look presence :
If lowerred or plan to:
Front 19x8.5 +30
Rear19X9.5 +35

If not lowerred
Front 19x8.5 +35
Rear 19X9.5 +40

But obviously with those wheels sizes you have more +/- offset play compared to a 9" front and 10.5" rear for example that you need to be carefull not hitting the strut (expecially up front)

Are they also available in 5X114.3 with the same specs? 5X120 is usually for BMW I believe.

Otherwise width and offset look good flush if not lowerred and near flush if lowerred.

Jay,
I received a reply from a seller. They are telling me this would fit my car. Would this offset protrude too far from the wheel well?

Front is flush for non lowered car and slightly in if lowered. Rear will be flush /agressive if not lowered but flush if lowered. You should look for other Stingers with wheels in those width and offset to decide if it is for you. There are plenty of picture in some of the wheels threads

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, finding those visuals online is, surprisingly, a daunting task. But, yeah flush/aggressive in the rear, I actually like. Both aesthetically and for traction.I certainly wouldn’t want a lower offset than that; but the rear protruding from the rim up to an inch is cool. I’m getting these. Though, I did find a killer deal on a discontinued line that look almost as cool. I’m about to make a decision very soon, and this is a discussion I haven’t had since I first bought wheels for my former ‘05 Mustang...10 years ago! I’ll talk to you again sometime, thanks again for the direction.

Here's some picture of Fast FC04 in 19" 8.5 / 9.5 ET35 . The car is lowerred but it give you an idea. Good luck with your research.

Hey man! I’m planning on getting FC04s in either 19” or 20”. What are your tires specs and what springs are you lowered on? I really like the bronze FC04s but I’m not sure if they would look good on my Ghost Grey Stinger...

This is not mine so I do not know the tire spec for sure. For 20in 245/35 and 285/30 is the best. For 19in stock size works but not ideal, for extra protection 245/40r19 and 285/35 works

Would 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 be better for AWD since it’s closer circumference overall compared to 285/35/19? Also, 255/40/19 seem to be better in the front with 285 rear, but I’m not sure if it would be ideal to have 255 with 8.5” wheels? Thoughts?

I would avoid going too wide on the front. Yes 275/35/19 is perfect but I wouldn’t be worried with 285/35 since you will burn the rear faster anyway...

My experience with AWD comes from the Celica AllTrac (GT4 outside the USA) and the Subaru WRX. It has pretty much always been the recommended route to have all 4 wheels/tires be the same. So whichever route you go, I would match the front to the rear. There is nothing to be lost really. Grip=Good.

ETA
The factory rubber bands are too skinny for the wheels and as a result the rim lip protrudes out further than the tire. I see nothing wrong with going wider if you can fit it.
