Hey all. After a ton of research I decided to go with a very specific plug (not those crazy expensive ones that make you drill a large hole) and got it pretty darn close to ceramic silver. I used a 11/64 bit to smooth out and slightly enlarge the existing holes and pushed them in. I have a ton left over if anyone is interested. Seeing those 5 spots would bother me.
But it is a good match

It bothers me a little but I noticed it's not too bad. It all depends on the light and angle. Once you're like 10 feet away you can't really tell with the naked eye

Gotta ask, but why is the plate mounted off to the side in the first place?
Also, I know you don't have a choice, but an orange plate is butt ugly.

I side-mounted my last car's plate and got used to it. There were no holes in the front since the state I got it from didn't require a front plate. And yeah, no one likes the NY plate colors.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You can also get them in white and they take paint well. If I had black/white/grey I'd try cheap generic touch-up paint from Home Depot first to see if it was close enough (they come by the dozen so plenty to experiment with).

For my Ascot Green I ordered actual matching paint and they pretty much disappeared except when you're looking for them.

Nice, I did the exact same thing on mine with the same result. You have to buy these things in quantities that are way more than you need but at least they're cheap I guess. I bought three different brands before finding one that was the right grey.

I still don't understand the plate mounting - I would have assumed the three indentations would be there to mark where the license plate bracket mounts, but they're not? And instead of using shorter screws to mount the plate to the bracket, leaving only three holes in the bumper, they use longer screws so there's now five holes and the purpose of the bracket is eliminated? Sorry if this has been beaten to death already, new to the car.

Yeah, it's excessive
