• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

MY21 Stinger GT exhaust valves

Can confirm ... just unclip the connector and the valve goes to full open and stays there cheers...

i assume you just tape up the end, with black electrical tape or something similar?

Up to you i wont ever be driving this in the rain and it just sits up out of the way if you for some reason want to clip it back on for a quietish note ?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
My 100cell cat dump pipes get fitted on the 4th , will see if there is an increase in drone and if so i will definitely hook the bimodal back up.

I cannot believe how rubbish the standard offside pipe is coming out of the turbo after the cat :(

Even the improved version is suspect but apparently can support 420rwkw.

I had a pic saved but cannot find it, so here is someone elses for comparison...

Update

Out of stock for a few weeks apparently ,so no mods for me at the moment but moving forward i may get to the bottom of why i cant spin my wheels hmmmmmm.

car off and unplug them at the valve. takes 5 mins i did mine on monday at work.
Did you do anything to protect the plugs and sockets from getting plugged with debris over time?

I asked Borla if my 2019 exhaust would work on my 2023. They said although it would physically fit, the issue is the ECVs and that disconnecting them would cause issues like a CEL. But based on comments above and also from the Genesis G70 forum, it seems that disconnecting the wires won't throw a CEL and as such, I could hook up my non-valved Borla exhaust without any issues. Am I missing something? Can anyone confirm the connector does not receive and require feedback from the valve motor? Would any actions require it to be connected back to the motor such as a battery disconnect/reconnect? Or can I live with it forever disconnected and enjoy my Borla sound?

Thanks in advance!
Did you ever figure this out? I don't really care to spend another 500 on the valvetronic version.
