Until last night I hadn't given this much thought to what happens if you need to get in the trunk with a dead battery. I threw a check engine light somehow so I decided to unplug the battery to clear it. Once I unplugged it, I closed the trunk lid a bit since the car was in the driveway and I had stuff inside. Problem is, I accidentally closed it to the point that it latched. From there, the 'fun' began....
First I had to figure out how to open it from inside (for those that don't know, you remove the cover in the middle of the trunk lid, push the latch to the right and push the lid up). Then I had to remove the cargo cover from inside (not as easy as it may sound). Next I had to manuever my non-limber, non-graceful 6ft5 ass onto the back seat and into the trunk to reach the latch. This whole thing was WAY too much work for something that should have been a 5 minute task.
I know a lot about the Stinger but I certainly don't know everything about it. Am I right in assuming there's no way to unlock the trunk from the outside if the battery is dead/disconnected?
