• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Got at the track around 5:40pm. June 5th 2020

I knew I was in trouble when the woman behind the counter asked me the model of my car for the log. She said “what is that?”

If you let them know it’s your first time ever on a track they are very helpful and forthcoming with any question you might have.

It’s intimidating at first but you have to remember it’s not a race and you have to drive within your comfort and your cars capabilities….
I drove it like a maniac and loved it! Launch control from the start, oversteer, understeer, breaking on the turns….!

Unless you start spinning out and getting off the track you are fine.

Never took a turn that the car couldn’t handle at speed. Rotated very well on the turns and floored it on the exits. An LSD would have made it so much more fun bat the AWD pulls your out of the corners with some much confidence you can’t mess it up!

I drove in sport mode and did not manually shifted because I was a chicken and was mostly focusing on taking the correct lines around the turns.

You have to monitor your tire pressure and had to let air out a couple of times.

And just like that it was over!

After going on the track 3 times with 3 laps each I made the mistake of parking the car without cooling the breaks and I was done. It took about 50 minutes for the breaks to cool down and it was already 8:40PM.

This is what I did to prep the car for the track:
Changed oil and checked fluid levels, tighten the wheels, check their pressure. Got gas!

This is what I brought to the track:
A passenger to take videos! Paper towels for checking oil. Some extra oil. Air compressor. Water.

Download and install TrackAddict. You will have to pay for it if you need to keep more than 3 recordings.

My best time that it recorded was 1:32.409
My best sectors times were 1) 18.329, 2)24.284, 3) 11.341, 4) 17.615, 5) 19.309 but not on the same LAP.... :P

We don’t need to rent the TRACK. If we line up 15 Stingers at the entry the track is ours! :)

Loved it and can’t wait for the next time!

Is that line indicated on the overhead where you took your car? Because it looks like between 59.6 and 109.1 you "plowed" down a whole bunch of flora. :D:laugh:

Yeah the GPS overlay is not very accurate in this app!:)
I could not have accelerated from 59km/h to 109.1km/h off roading but it is an AWD! ;)

BTW if you spin out twice on this track you are out for the day!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
it seems it's better to just arrange to meet up and a few of us head over. To rent the track is very costly and will be more than if we just show up on a Friday or whenever they have it open, Unless we have 45 cars, but even then, there's no workers there to assist us, etc.. it's just us and the safety crew/ambulance. I like the idea of their guys being there to flag us, guide us etc...
