Is this a persistent issue or a one time code?
I read a post of someone who had this come up from going to accessory mode and leaving too quickly.
If its persistent it is probably an issue with the body control module sending the command to the door mood lights

Well,,you could go into the mood lighting setting on the main screen and play with that. As it is affecting both it seems a software issue or like the above a module somewhere. You wont see stuff like this in the service manual I wouldn't think.

Do a factory reset on the screen. A long and painful exercise in my opinion.

So this is "the glow" under the armrests driver and passenger door.

Is the moodlighting actually working there?

It's persistent, had the car for 3 months and didn't know it had the lights on the door until I plugged in a scanner and saw that. The dash mood lights top/bottom work just fine. No light on either door is working though. I'll see what I can find with the body control module.

The error you are getting is a no communication error, it is very odd it is only the 2 door mood lamps.
Makes me think that they were unhooked on purpose, only way to tell is to take the door card off the inside and look to see if they are.
Maybe the previous owner didnt like the light and disconnected them or tried to hook another light up to the connector...who knows.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I was thinking he did something to it, I keep finding little surprises like missing nuts, broken clips and a bad grill wrap. I'll have to take that off and check as soon as I can and report back.

So this is what I found. Everything is connected but the green plug looks corroded, I could solder a new one on but no clue what that connector type is called, I have xt60, servo and others for rc but that won't work. Any suggestions, could it be that black box? This is the passenger side, didn't have time for the other side today.

Clean that plug up with some WD40. Flush it right out. Dry it out as much as you can. Re install.

Clean out the socket as well. Obviously it will be sold as a wiring loom which would be purchasable I would think but my guess something like that would be long delivery from an OEM out of South Korea to Kia.

Repairers would need to be able to buy that for a smashed door.

Kia dealer will have a part number but it is going to be $100+. Probably $500.

Im not familiar with that type connector by they all can be de pined, inspect it and you will find a tab or something that will you slide the wires and pins out.
I would try to do that and make sure all the wires are secured to the connector pins, but a cleaning with contact cleaner might work as well.
Looks like it has been removed before not sure how it could get corroded.
