Picking up my Stinger on June 1st but have to give props to the Sales Manager Juan Carlos Vega.
I won't bore you with my story but Juan Carlos has gone the extra mile to earn my business. The dealership is an hour and a half from where I live so the purchase has all been done on the phone and via email. I'd gone into another dealership the previous week but the sales manager there I guess didn't want my business so.... He didn't get it.
I'm sure this has been said before and I'd say it applies to any dealership. Do your research on the vehicle so that you know what you want and how much you are willing to pay. That way if you get a good sales manager you don't have to deal with all the B.S.
Excited to get into the car on Saturday.

Excellent. You’ll be counting the days....not long now. What color did you go for?

I got the 20th Anniversary Edition that's available in Canada. It is the Ghost Gray with red interior. Has Red Floor mats, different wheels and some carbon fiber interior trim. Wanted the Storm Grey or Panthera Metal but he didn't have that on his lot and seemed to be having a little more difficulty getting one from another dealer.

Oh damn, I grew up in Scarborough. Hey Suzanne, may I trouble you for a favour? I want to buy a set of those red-stitch carpet floor mats you have. Would you be able to look under the driver mat to grab me the Kia part #? It's normally a 10-digit code separated by a hyphen, like xxxxx-xxxxx.

Let me know if you have time, or I'll buy them off you if you had upgraded to Weathertechs.

Ha, ha... Funny you say that. Added a weathertech mat to the trunk, yesterday in fact but not for the interior mats as of yet. I checked this evening and cannot for the life of me find a number on the mat itself. I was in underground parking so it could be a lighting issue. I'll check again on the weekend if the weather is clear. I'm fairly sure I saw those mats for sale but not sure if it was on Ebay as they seem to be standard equipment in some markets. Even though I'll get weather techs for winter driving I do want to keep the mats for summer.

No problem, thanks Suzanne! I found the part number, all good, and I too have Weathertechs for the interior, but bought the original Kia trunk liner where there are strategic cut-outs for the cargo net hooks and says STINGER on it. :)

In case you don't see the cargo net, lift up the bottom cover and it will be in a draw-spring pouch next to your spare tire.

If you ever need anything Stinger-related in return, just let me know. I'm very well-informed on these cars, and have added a number of neat touches on mine. I live in Milton, so seeing Milton Kia got my attention.
