I was thinking of maybe getting this:

Anyone else has any experience with this? What is the labor cost i should expect a shop to charge to put this in for me?

I currently have a 2018 GT2 that the prior owner had half ass welded in a pair of borla mufflers after cutting off the factory ones. it's a bit loud and obnoxious. i am hoping these would be quieter but not as quiet as the factory. How loud are these at normal cruising speed? ideally i want something that should be fairly quiet at cruising but would have good sound only when accelerate or reeve hard.

before you rip out the Borla, get some tips on them. The MBRP is slightly quieter, but without tips it too can cause cabin drone. I wouldn't call the MBRP obnoxious, but I probably would say the same of the Borla. if the PO didn't weld them properly, a leak would make noise worse, of course.

My MBRP makes its presence known every time I touch the throttle, but at steady state cruising it's quiet. I do have aftermarket tips on there though.

Borlas require 57mm size input tips and a 2018 Stinger will need 75mmx105mm output tips. They can be had on aliexpress if you're patient or ebay/amazon if you're willing to pay more to have them sooner. There is a huge exhaust tips thread, do some reading to get ideas and links. I've posted in there several times.

install costs vary wildly by region, so it's hard to say how much it'll run you, especially since we don't know where you are.

See here for my original post about my car:

It was a real hack job. The welded on borla is only single exhaust out instead of dual exhaust out . i don't think he left the tip on either ;(

Anyway, it sucks because instead of dual exhaust on each side, now it's only single exhaust on each side so it's probably even more restrictive on my engine output?

I am in jacksonville FL if that helps with estimating cost

ah. now I remember. That's not the borla exhaust made specifically for the stinger. that's just a borla off-the-shelf can welded in there.

get the MBRP, get the 62mm inlet tips of your choice, and find a local muffler shop to get it straightened out. exhaust work is pretty simple, they should be able to get it on there easily. As long as the original plumbing to the downpipes is original, the MBRP will bolt right in. I'm in Miami and I paid $120 for the muffler install including installing the tips, if I remember correctly. It's been more than 2 years now since I did it. I'm sure I posted the correct figure somewhere on this forum.

the tips themselves were another $120 to buy and ship to my house.

MBRP is a great sounding exhaust that comes in at a really good price point. If your current exhaust is too loud, I think you will be very happy with the MBRP. Just so you know, we currently offer the same exhaust for cheaper on our website and we are also offering a manufacturer rebate that will help you save a good amount of money: (FOUND HERE).

it's an excellent option, perfect for daily drivers.
We got this exhaust in stock and guaranteed to ship in 1-2 business days

They are quiet imo. My buddy has the exhaust. There's no drone which is nice. But it's quieter than most muffler deletes.

well one place quoted me $400 to put it on. I feel like that's a bit too high. What ya all think?

People with 2022+ paid less to put them on alone with realigning the tips and clamp on real tips. That how outrageous your $400 quote is.

you can get it done for a little cheaper but its still an acceptable quote

For a place with a lift, it should take an hour......two tops. $400 is way too much.

The rate in Vegas is as high as $150 . A $400 install is 2 hours and 40 minutes.
As mentioned, not the best rate, but not a rip-off. That said, you should look to a max $300 install
