Is anyone running a 275 tire on the stock 19" wheel on the rear of your Stinger?

I just mounted 275/30-19 on my rears to use when the weather gets nice here in PA. I was concerned about the bulge but it looks fine. I haven't heard of anyone else running a 275.

Tire size and rim width chart for reference

Not saying that it's impossible, but you're probably not going to be advised to put a 275 on a 8.5 stock rim by any shop.

275 "fits" / can be mounted without a problem to 8.5 wheels (depending on the sidewall) but some shops might reject to mount a tire that does not fit within the manufacturer recommended wheel width. The above chart is a reference, the real information is from the tire manufacturing that homologated a specific tire to be safe and perform within spec on a specific range of wheel sizes.

For example :
Michelin PS4s 275/30ZR19 (96Y) XL is approved from 9" to 10"
Michelin PS4s 275/35ZR19 (100Y) XL is approved for 9" to 11"

I will say this. I have my own tire changer and it was a bit of a bear getting the 275 on the rim. That being said, I am not special, and would expect any competent tire shop to be able to mount it.

I also come from the world of autocross where mounting wide tires on skinny wheels is common.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
if you went from 255 to 265 on the rear does it slow you down any?

I just bought 275/40/19s Nitto 555r II for the rear. I hope they fit and someone will mount them.

Love the look!

Moment of truth tomorrow...get to find out if this shop will throw these fat meats on these scrawny wheels!

It's been about a year since the last post here. What do we think is the verdict on running 245s on the front stock wheels and 275s on the back? Is anyone having problems with this fitment?
