Hi there,

I ordered the Mando ECS10 for mt '19 GT from ebay (to germany) and just found out, i didn't read the article right... My dumb brain ordered the I30N configuration, not for the Stinger. So i'd send it back to South Korea and the reseller would change it to the stinger variant.
All good, but the Kdmwarehouse says:
- 2018-2022+Kia Stinger
- i30N"
So is it also compatible? Same connection and all? If yes, that would save me a lot of shipping costs and time.

Thanks in advance :geek:

Plugs should be the same, as when you are in the app you can change which car you are connected to with no issues. I haven't tried it personally but I have looked through the list of vehicles it supports.

The Stinger 2.0 has an almost identical engine to the i30N. They're just mounted in a different way and I think have a different turbos.
But I don't know if it would work on the 3.3.

the 2.0 Theta in the N cars is completely different than the 2.0 in the stinger, just so you are aware, all the internals are beefed up for the N cars by a significant amount.

Can I ask where you found this information? Everything I could find online was about a larger turbocharger.
The i30 is G4KH and the Stinger is G4KL.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I own an elantra N and have talked to multiple turners of the platform who have torn down both.

Ok, interesting information. Everything I found about them was that they are basically the same engine (last gen KH and the KL) but with slightly different compression ratio and turbine.
I find it strange they would use different internals for a 20hp increase. Especially since they use the G4KL engine on their premium brand.

hmmmmm, so i could basically unpack and try it and if it doesn't fit, i would return it.
Thanks for the infos
I'll aditionally ask the reseller, whether it's the same Connector/function or not.

No problem

its for longevity, as they know that the people buying the N cars will want to track the car, which is also why the N cars have a full track warranty

So i got the final answer from reseller "rpmtrade" on ebay:

"I30N is compatible with Veloster N vehicles.
It is not compatible with Stinger vehicles.
Stinger is compatible with G70 and G80 vehicles.
When I30N product is installed, App doesn't recognize it.
Therefore, it cannot be used."

So a clear message... i gotta return the box and wait again for the new one

Well that's unfortunate. Isn't the i30N just the hatchback elantra N?

Could be yes, but i don't know specifically. We don't have the Elantra in Europe - and also you don't have the I30 in North America, don't you?!

We do not. We have the Elantra, Kona, and Veloster N.

ah yeah, those are specific models for continents. Hatchbacks don't do well in US, so dont Limousines over here. Only disgusting similarity are SUVs

Which is a shame because the enthusiasts love hatchbacks and wagons. The only wagons we have for sale right now over here are the RS6 and the Volvo V60/90, and with the RS6 being super expensive, and the V60/90 wagons not being super athletic (they do certainly have get up and Go but not performance oriented) it's really slim pickings. I still am a firm believer that the CTS-V Wagon and the C63 Wagon where the best all around cars to ever be put into production.

They're basically just SUVs, but lighter, sportier with lower mass points and don't pretend to go into the mud. Still are very present over here, but the cheap, small and midsize-SUVs are conquering the market...
Nontheless - 4-door coupes are really rare on the streets, wich is good for us :)

PS: I ordered the Mando ECS10 for Kia Stinger now and trying to sell the wrong bought via ebay in Germany/Europe...
