I noticed a screen delamination issue in the top right side of the main display screen on my 2018 GT2. Took it to the dealer where I had purchased a $3000+ extended warranty in December when I purchased the car after the lease was done. They just told me 'delamination' was not covered!! Anyone else had delamination issues with the display screen and how did you get it fixed?
thanks

Looks like you are too new to the forum to do so, but... Some pics of what you are seeing would help.

Super glue. (I have no idea, this is a first.)
And yes you can upload a pic file using "Attach files" , below to the left: I've seen brand new members do it all the time. You just can't post links until you're "vetted" (post fifteen times, I believe).

Bruh. Find another dealer.

call Kia concierge. Complain about that dealer.
Absolutely! That dealer is gabbage and you shouldn't trust them with anything. You'll find out they all operate differently and sadly a lot are just out to screw you over and take your money.

The car has 32500 miles on it and has been in use for 40 months. Are you saying that KIA will cover this even if I'm past the 3yr/36k mile original warranty?

Are you the original owner? or 2nd?

I'm the owner who leased it for 3 yrs from Kia Finance from new and then purchased it at the end of the lease.

Shouldn't you have the full warranty then? or is it different with the lease buyouts?

Original owner has bumper to bumper five year/60K mile warranty. This should be covered.

MY 2018 were only 3yr/36K . New ones are 5yr/60K
MY18 has the same warranty bumper to bumper. Some things, like paint flaws/failure have 36 month or 36K miles warranty. I doubt that the NAV screen starting to come apart at the edges is one of these lesser periods.

the 5y/60k has been kia standard for a while now. This dealer is trying to give you the shaft.

Me thinks the dealer is correct...

That's talking about electronics mechanical things, not hardware that is part of the interior. But it is arguable and so a given dealership will judge. Better keep that tube of Super Glue handy.

You paid $3000 for an extended warranty. Doesn't that have different terms than the standard warranty?

I’m seeing the same issue on my 2018 GT2 as of the last week. It might have something to do with record heat seen in my state.

Warranty covered mine. Maybe i got lucky or it was the package i got. Id have to reread my stuff. But ill also say that my dealer has been super good to me.
