Received & fitted Magnetic Sunshades to the rear door windows today, the set also comes with 2 x front halves & I have chosen not to fit these as yet.
Increased privacy & sun glare reduction, wind & noise is greatly reduced when the rear windows down a few inches & no bugs can fly in.B27D1F80-8341-4B72-94C2-137B0EE9454A.webp 14C084D9-DBC6-4490-BA8B-5BBE20F0F6FD.webp 9792F82A-F885-4E5E-9CCA-00F96B95F501.webp 519183D4-6F70-4045-A361-916F8236050D.webp

They have wire frame with magnets in certain sections they “stick” to magnetic clips with 3m tape that adheres to the plastic door trim. Once installed it’s only a matter of pulling the sunshade out to remove them for cleaning etc. & the clips stay in place.
The magnets are very strong, just drove 100kms/hr (60mph) with both rear windows down approx. 3-4” did not blow in, greatly reduce wind noise especially on the ears if you know what I mean.
1st pic with sunshade removed showing location of the clips.

I love this idea! Are they custom? If not, where could I find them?

These are specifically made for the Kia Stinger, I got them from a company in Singapore called Carwerkz, (see attached link below) it took a couple of weeks from order & arrived via. DHL this morning, a quality is excellent.
BTW the wrinkles in the mesh will eventually “iron” out over time or you can actually iron them out.
A set of 6 shades + clips & including shipping to Australia cost me just under AU$115.00

That's pretty cool. The Optimas come with rear sunshades (SXL trim). It's not something I thought I'd miss, until I did.

I had Lasershades on my 13 Sportage, bought those from the UK, loved them on the rear passenger windows & missed them on this until now.

I only recently discovered there are no built-in retractable sun shades in the Stinger, which surprised me considering my $10k cheaper Sorento has them. Oh well..

I agree, even the Kia Carnival Platinum (people mover) has them at the same price point as the Stinger here in OZ.

I meant the back. Not going to lose sleep over it, but interesting this more "upmarket" model doesn't have them..
