3.3TT Lowering Springs are bad for stock shocks?

I've been lowered for over 3 years i wouldn't do it again with hind site.

- rear camber issues.
- pulls to the left permanently (LHD)
- Rear shocks shot already.
- rougher ride on non smooth roads
- uneven tyre wear.

I'd close the wheel gap by putting on 20" wheels again if i had the choice again. How

How big of a drop did you go? Did you put the Eibach's offered by Kia or another brand...I'm starting to care less about getting mine done the more I drive the car.

- rear camber issues. (Whats the issue? Is it just that your camber is more negative than it would be at factory height? Or something else?)

- pulls to the left permanently (LHD) (is this unique to your specific stinger, or all lowered stingers can't be aligned to go straight? I'd be pretty upset if my car always pulled to either side and couldn't be aligned to go straight.)

- Rear shocks shot already.(did you have the electronic dampers or the regular ones? - how many kms are on your car?)

- rougher ride on non smooth roads (which springs did you get?)

- uneven tyre wear. (Is this the same as the rear camber issue?)

Rear camber when lowered the cars tyres are splayed out more and cannot be adjusted vertically enough meaning there is inside tyre wear.

Pulls to the left, no matter the amount of wheel alignments or tyre rotation has helped the pull to the left. The Unipro caster kit helped for awhile but its back to pulling again, probably uneven tyre wear.

I have the electronic dampers and im on 50,000km, the back left gave up about 4,000km ago thats what could be effecting the pull to the left. Shocks at Kia on 15/8.

Got the eibach spings, drop about 20mm (3/4"). Replaced the rear eibach with German spec rears which have a drop of 10mm. (All the haters used to say i had rear rake.) Eibach imported them for me at no charge. Centre of hub to rear fender sits at from memory 285mm.

I’m in Calgary, AB. I’m trying to decide the same thing as you are OP. Getting mixed stories as to whether or not warranty is void no matter who installs or if Kia dealer does it. I agree that considering all those accessories can be added from Kia directly then it shouldn’t void warranty in any way. Latest guy I spoke to says that if they supply and install then no warranty issues. They are offering me a pretty great price for supply and install. He did mention that they have done one Stinger at their dealer and the guy was unhappy with the ride and there was some rubbing. I am using the stock rubber though and just a slightly more aggressive offset with my rims. Who knows that the other guys setup was like.

I daily drive all year round and want it to look more aggressive now that I have gone to aftermarket wheels but don’t want to regret my decision. I lowered a TLX 4 cylinder with all wheel steering a few years ago and that ended up lower than quoted and had a grinding sound. Never did figure out the reason before I sold the car. Some said it was incorrect install, some say it was because of the 4 wheel steering but they were H&R Springs so I would hope they would be decent quality. I wasn’t too happy about it regardless. Just trying to avoid paying the money to do it then paying to put it all back lol.
If you plan to winter drive it i'd say don't lower it on springs. You'll just destroy the undercarriage of you car. Been there, done that on another car and it's not worth it.

If you really want a lower stance and want to winter drive the car, go with an air-ride system. Coilovers are another option but the winter road salt will rust them out and not allow you to adjust them higher for the winter. I've tried that also.
