Loud & top tier performance catbacks, which exhaust do I choose?

He’s not on the forum but it’s not his own turboback. He has the lap3 primary DP & junbl secondary DPs and a custom catback from a local shop. You can get the same DPs for the 30whp+ and just keep the stock mufflers on to test the sound first.
i’ve heard that the lap3 primaries cause a CEL, is this true? and i was also looking at getting the UP mid and downpipe combo, would those still provide that 30whp+ compared to the junbl secondary along with the lap3 primaries?
 
I believe there are sensors (likely 02 sensors to measure AFRs) in the primary downpipes. If the aftermarket primaries don't allow for them, or cause them to read significantly different to stock readings, then a CEL is likely.

Yes, unless you have a tune or o2 spacer or something like that.

What I didn't notice anyone say but in my opinion you do exhaust for sound don't worry about HP gaines get what you want it to sound like. Your HP gains will come from other mods like intakes and a JB4 or some other kind of tune.

That's my goal make the exhaust sound like I want so far I have ARK secondary downpipes which made it a little louder but I want more but I have not been able to decide what since I have found no one locally with a stinger with mod'd exhaust.

I mostly agree but 10-15whp is still a nice upgrade even though most catback exhausts will provide about the same gains. Removing primary cats will give the biggest exhaust gains but comes with many drawbacks which makes them not worth it for most.

Yes most gains will come from chips/tunes but removing restrictions both in & out will maximize those gains.

You need to come out to PB Cars & Coffee next month as almost all my Stinger buddies have modded exhausts, from mild to wild.:thumbup:
