Hi Guys

I just replaced rotors and pads on my 2019 GT2.
I installed DBA xtreme performance pads but noticed that it is making clicking noise occasionally when I engage brake.
upon troubleshooting, I found that the pads are loose and has some play in the direction I drawn in the picture below.
any one has any suggestion to eliminate the gaps between caliper and pads to get rid of clicking noise?

did you put the grease on the back of the pads? I think that would quiet it down. I had that same issue running hawk HPS 5.0 pads with stock rotors. switched to DBA rotors and new Hawk HPS 5.0's front and rear, and put a little grease on the back of the shim and it's been quiet. Not sure I can explain how this directly helps but maybe the grease is the answer.

I’ve had dba pads in now for over 2.5 years & no issues, did you fit the shims & use copper grease on the back of the pads.

do you need to keep the original shims from brembo pads?
BDA pads came with their own shims

Use the new shims.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Dba pads were making way too much brake dusts.
I ordered carquest pads and installed them and the pads still have play within the caliper.
It makes click noise every first time I engage brake after changing the direction.
This is driving me nuts... i want to give a try with OEM pds again but why the heck are they $500 just for front now??!

did you use the grease? tons of us have aftermarket pads. gotta be something you can live with. I wouldn't pay that much for OEM.. But do what makes you happy of course. good luck!

Hey

Is your issue already fixed? I changed oem rotors and pads to Dba and have exactly same issue :( I can hear clunk when i break at low speed , reverse , go over the speed bump… quite annoying. I have put shims on and it got a bit better but still making noise.
