Hi folks,

It's coming time for me to replace my brakes. I'm generally a stock vehicle kind of guy but thought I'd check with you all before laying down close to 3k for new OEM brakes.

I use my stinger as my daily driver and have small kids. I drive hard (without the kids) but am not tracking my car so I am not looking for performance specs beyond what I've had to date.

Should I stay with OEMs installed by the dealership or look at other options? If I look at other options, where would I get it installed and how much would they cost? I'm in Canada.

Wilwood makes nice brakes. Are you looking for brakes, brake rotors or brake pads? What is wrong with the OEM brakes, assuming they are the Brembos on the 3.3, right?

Yup they are all used up.

For less than half of $3K you should be able to get good quality aftermarket rotors & pads.
eg: I got dba slotted rotors & dba pads for AU$1450.00

powerstop z26 pads have been fantastic on mine.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
DBA rotors and EBC redstuff upfront, DBA pads in back, since you are in Canada as well check out Park Auto... they normally have good prices, and very good at communicating and shipping, but I would think the Rotors are going to be expensive to ship

$1103 for pads? Does that include the calipers?

Is there something wrong with the calipers?

It is beyond unusual to replace calipers if only then pads are worn out.
Ok truth is I know nothing about brakes so draw your own assumptions, lol

Kia quoted me (CAD$):
Front discs $595
Front brembo pads $1103
Rear disc assembly $560
Rear pad kit $466
Labour $480
100% go aftermarket - especially the pads the factory ones aren't worth $110... never mind $1100
I bought my parts over the winter months and did the upgrade in the spring on tire change over. so I took advantage of sale pricing but I think all my parts added up to around $1600

Shop around - Canadian Stinger Aftermarket Parts Sources

List price for brembo caliper is around $900US each. there is no way $1100 CAD includes calipers.

I think they messed up and it's $1100 for the front rotors, and the pads are $595 for the front set

Gee even if they messed up if that’s the pricing for OE pads & rotors then that’s just gouging the customer & for inferior parts to boot.

$1103 is insanity. The calipers don't even cost that much. Also, Brembo doesn't issue factory pads for Stinger/G70 anymore. Probably due to all the complaints about brake judges. Hawk pads seemed to get recommended often.

I'm upgrading to girodisc rotors next year, but I drive aggressively.

""Please let us know the following details:
per supplier fitment guide the part you've ordered will ONLY FIT If your Vehicle has 13.8 Front Rotor diameter or 350mm and 13.4 Rear Rotor diameter in inches or 340mm with 3.3 Twin Turbo Engine Size""

This is us, yes? I filtered by the 3.3L stinger but apparently require external confirmation. Would someone more experienced than I let me know if the above is correct?
