So I didn't realize I needed to do my lease buyout from a dealer because I'm in FL. Anyone do theirs from a fair dealer in the state? Don't want to do business with my originating dealer and my local one doesn't seem to know how to process it since they all have new people.

St. Augustine Florida. Lowest dealer fee and tag transfer. My originating dealer added $1,000 to the official buy out price and charged way to much for the tag/title transfer.

Ok that's who I called because I saw one of your posts here on the forum. They haven't got back to me yet. How much did St. Augustine charge for everything? Why would you have to do a tag transfer when I already transferred the tag?

$699 dealer fee plus $82 tag/title transfer. The title has Kia Finance on it and the new title will be in your name with any lean also indicated. Also, Florida sales tax.

Good lawd $699 just to do a bit of paperwork? Yikes. Did you finance through them or bring them a draft?

I'm about to do my buyout in Florida this week hopefully as well. Hollywood Kia doesn't have a dealer fee but I haven't contacted them yet to confirm if that also applies to a lease buyout. Does anyone know if you actually have to go to the dealership to do the buyout?

I had to go to the dealer. It's just like buying or leasing a new car. Had to go to the Finance manager to get it done.

I used my original dealer (Friendly) and basically told them I had already paid those fees when they tried to re-add them. They took them off.
May want to try that route with original dealer.
We bought our 1st stinger gt2 (red one) from Century KIA Tampa, Preston was our sales guy and we still love him. You can try there.
Our second StingerGT 2 was a Yellow lease on the buy back plan.... learned from this forum that it was a better option. We used Friendly Kia as yellows were hard to find. We used them for the buyout and although they tried, they didn’t charge us after I argued that we already paid. Our 3d stinger gt2 (orange) was on a lemon law buy back trade on the red one. We worked with Dyer Kia in Orlando (Steve O) was great to work with. Seems like a great dealership. Soo 3 stingers 3 options. I put Dyer Orlando and Century Tampa at the top and Friendly a close second. Your original dealer may be the best bet. Good luck

My original dealer in Ocala added $1,000 to the KIA Finance buyout amount and charged $899 tag and title fee. That was about $1,800 dollars more than Family Kia in St. Augustine.

That is just wrong!

I ended up going to Dyer Kia which is right up the road from me, about the same dealer fee and I was able to finance directly through my own bank from the dealer. They don't allow rate bumps and I confirmed with a local finance manager who has access to their rates. Pretty straight forward.

Yea it's a law in FL I guess or something with Kia they worked out you gotta do the lease buyout through a dealer. I called Kia Finance 3 times.

I leased mine through Gettel Kia, I got a gt2 awd and the adj cap ended up being 38,500. They were horrible To deal with though they gave me a great deal

Gettel Sarasota or Bradenton? Any recommendations on trying to get the best deal possible

Gettel of Bradenton is the one I went to. For me they matched the price of friendly Kia. If you want I can send you a picture of the quote they gave a month ago and you can take it to them

It also depends on what you’re looking for, I’m not sure if there are any 19 GT1s left but I bet you could get a 19 gt2 for the same price as a 20 gt1

What is the going adj cap cost for a 2020 GT1 or 19GT2?
