The last Kia Stinger has been sold in Australia

The end of the road for the Kia Stinger has arrived in Australia, after seven years and close to 11,500 sales.

This is a generic story from Drive.

I tracked the sales closely from around 75 available at the beginning of 2023 to the last one advertised and sold at a dealership which was a Pearl White GT sold at McRae Kia Wodonga on the Vic/NSW border around October 2023 I have the exact month somewhere.

The last manufactured Stingers that arrived in Australia were March 23 build.

There are still a couple of "demos" around with supposedly delivery kms and one or two private sales that were put away undriven.

I had it in mind during the summer and fall that at the end of the year I might lease one of the last Stingers. But when I finally enquired, a few weeks ago, was told that their last new Stingers were in May. So, I hang onto my "old" ones and am grateful for both.

Yeah bit late. They disappeared pretty much from June 23 onwards here. The occasional one popped up that a dealer was hanging onto.

7th November 2023 was the last time McRae Kia Wodonga advertised the new Stinger GT.

There is a light grey in South Australia

"Brand New Kia Stinger, was purchased a few months ago and delivered to our property, it has never been driven, registered or plated. We have moved to our vineyard and it is no longer suitable for us. Sitting in the garage has always been covered ready for its new owner!"

It's at the dealer price ex govt charges and Reg for $68,000 (On road would be $71K)

That was the correct purchase price at Kia Dealerships 12 months ago.

Back in early 2019 brand new GT's were going for 59k drive away.

They probably were but they were also missing features of the last MY23 models.

The Kia "Build MY Car price" for a My23 Stinger GT was

AUD$69890 Drive Away up to Dec 2022

AUD$71390 Drive Away from Jan 2023 ($1500 mandated factory price increase)

Plus a colour price of $695 (Metallic colours)
