Initially I was in the market for a 2020 Stinger GT. Koons had 1 2020 GT, and I was able to get a clear, itemized out the door price from a sales manager (Allison). after a few days of emails, I was satisfied with my price and had my questions answered. I filled out the finance application on their website from home, which probably saved a a ton of time and I was able to do it all from home and get approved. The price they quoted me was marked down from the $40,685 MSRP with a $4,500 rebate added to the down payment, and a $5,700 dealer incentive, both of which were contingent on using their financing. They wouldn't budge on price or any of the additional processing fees ($899) or destination ($1,195), or the out the door price of $35,542.
I wasn't planning on doing a trade-in, so I had to arrange for a ride down from DC (about an hour each way) a few days after we settled on the price. On the day I was planning to come down, I got a call that someone was interested in the 2020 and was about to go into finance. I figured this was sales BS to try to get me down there sooner, but I couldn't change my plans. A couple hours later they confirmed that the car was gone.
Shortly after that, Salvador was able to quickly get me a comparable quote on a 2021 GT ($38,136 out the door), so I told him I'd be there in an hour. When I arrived, Sean from sales had the same car they quoted me on pulled up out front, and I just gave it a quick spin around the lot since I had already test driven previously. Then we spent about an hour with Sean going over all the initial paperwork, proof of insurance, etc. He had a Stinger too, so he was fun to chat with while things were processing and definitely got me more excited about the car. Only upsell here was the option for a $600 "detailing package" (lol). Once that cleared, we were on to finance with Sheriff. He was very up front from the get-go. He brought out a sheet showing exactly what the interest rate and payments were at different terms. We knew we wanted 48 months, and got 2.5%, a little better than we were initially quoted over email.
Then we went to the finance office. Sheriff was pretty quiet and ready to get down to business. First off, he tried to get us in to extending all the warranties to 10 years/100k miles, I think it was about $80-100 more per month. Not worth it. Beyond that, no other upsells in finance on insurance or any of that BS, just all the boilerplate paperwork. We were out of finance and ready to go an hour later. All told we were there for about two hours.
Probably could have fought harder to claw off a bit from the bottom line, but felt like the price was reasonable, and didn't have to spend an entire day at the dealer.
tl;dr:

tl;dr:
- Negotiated out the door price over email, and that's what they gave me
- Filled out finance app online before going in, was way easier to do from home
- No pressure tactics, turned down the two times they offered any upsells, no arguments from them
- Drove off two hours after walking through the door in my new Stinger!
