Might as well shut down the factory right now, huh? :)

I live in AZ where there seems to be about 4 or 5 GT2s, all Red w Black interior. Searched some ZIP codes in CA and the same thing, making me think that's all they've shipped so far. I really want to jump on this lease deal this month, but not real thrilled with the red/black option, anybody have any ideas if we'll get some different color options for the GT2 soon? Seems like all the GT1s are Black/Red also.

If you want a white car with a non-black interior you have a choice of a Premium edition, all other 4 editions (including the 3 higher priced ones) have black only, which to my addled brain makes no sense at all. I despise black (because you can't see the interior detail with no color variation), instead of extracting more $ from me I'd have to go for the 2.0.

Thanks, this is a great tool to track the distribution of the Stingers!

Is it possible to get the lease in motion and wait for the arrival of other color options? More or less make a down payment and just wait it out...?

That's a really good point about black interiors and being less able to see the interior detail. I never thought about that. Before now I really had no reason to oppose a black interior - and really still don't - but you made a good point there...

Yeah I'm not big on black interior either, mostly because of the heat here, but Barry makes a good point. The GT1 with red leather is real sharp.

I am talking to another dealer today, I'll ask them about locking in the deal on a car yet to be delivered but my guess is they won't know what they are getting and you probably have to take delivery by the end of this promotion. That and they don't want to wait to sell the next one, they want to move what they have Now!

Hopefully somebody with some insider info can tell us if this or similar deal will be available once more inventory is available.

I had light grey interior before. I didn' like it because you start to see everything. Black is nice hides alot.

I saw an experiment that surprisingly showed a black interior is only about 2 degrees warmer than a white interior. This was a Summer test...

And there's a good point for a darker interior... Very true. It'll look cleaner for longer - and may hide little marks that don't go away...

I've been driving a white car, black leather seats, no window tint, for two decades, during 15 years of parking it at work on a hot asphalt lot, and all through the CA drought and record summer heat waves--and I've never gotten into the car and felt heat from the seats or even the steering wheel. The interior air gets hot, but not the upholstery. And black is so much easier to care for. My red car with white vinyl seats was another issue altogether.

Maybe I'm just listening to old wives tales then. Either way, I think the red leather is really nice on this car.

If a website allows you to toggle back and forth between a two-tone and monotone interior watch the interior detail “disappear” for the monotone one.

I love the red leather but it looks like it’s gonna be out of my range.

I'm hoping they add the red interior to more exterior colors and it's just a matter of the build application showing what is currently available although I really doubt that's the case. I'm stuck on the red interior, but I don't like the look of the silver exterior and having had a black car previously hate how often you have to wash it to make it look nice.

I'm confused by this initial shipments colors.. Like I understand red and black as they're popular colors, but to have the blue over white, grey, or both? Then they only have black interiors? If Kia had been looking around I'm sure they would have seen that white, panthera metal, dark chroma blue, and cement grey were easily the most popular exterior colors and that the red interior was very popular.

You would think giving us what we want would be the best way to sell a product, wouldn’t you? But no...

Yep you would think. Limited colors at release makes sense, but the exterior/interior colors they chose to show off as the hopefully initial colors is very questionable in my opinion.

I'm sure people at Kia have seen what colors and even options we were most excited about months ago and have just failed to provide them which is very unfortunate for us.
