Have you done an engine swap before? In a recent (> 2018) car? Between different manufacturers, not just between engine offerings? With a 15+ year OLDER engine?
If you were trying to swap a '22 Mustang 2.3 to a '22 Mustang 5.0, that would be one thing - you could look up the different parts, try to swap them, see if everything works - and even then, run into issues. But you could probably get it to work.
But swapping a 15+ year old engine into a modern car? Look, if you have $50K+ burning a hole in your pocket, and a willingness to wait 2-3 years, sure.. And then, be stuck with a possibly un-registerable off-road only car. That never runs right, loses airbags, all stereo, HVAC, etc..
This isn't dropping a huge engine into an 80s Mustang.
In those states that follow CARB rules, this swap is de facto illegal, since you're moving to older emissions regulations.
Trade up for a 3.3 ($15K?), add WMI / CPI / Lap3 for another $10K and get a reasonably safe / easy 500 whp. It'll run better with less hassles than a swapped car EVER would.
